STAY AWAY!!!
Raider Electric was subcontracted to perform the electric install for new central air conditioning. Though they completed the job, the workmanship was poor and left much to be desired. They left my room in complete disarray. After moving many of my personal belongings for additional space near the electrical panel, they failed to move anything back. Additionally, they left a cigarette butt outside on my lawn along with screws and the wood from the holes they drilled in the side of my house to run the cord. They also neglected to spackle the hole they cut in the interior sheetrock when adding the line. Finally, my lights dim every time the new AC kicks on...
When I called to question Don on the sloppy workmanship and the dimming of the lights, he was rude, dismissive, and took minimal responsibility. Regarding my dimming lights, he stated it was a PSE&G issue - despite never experiencing anything like this prior. In response to my house being left like a garbage dump, he basically said, "Well, you've probably cleaned it up now, so there's nothing I can do about it. I'll talk to my guy."
I am incredibly disappointed in my experience with Raider Electric and would urge potential customers to look elsewhere.

Don from Raider Electric showed up promptly, answered all of my questions and provided suggestions based on what I indicated I wanted to have done. The pricing was competitive and the crew was very professional.

The owner Don came out and hooked up our generator so that we would have power during the aftermath of hurricane Sandy.
Friendly and efficient.

Excellent. The work needed to be done at short notice but wasn't an emergency. I spoke with Don at 5.30pm (the only one of 3 companies that picked up the phone) and he said he could get a guy to me at 1pm the next day. Guy showed up bang on time (even called 15 mins before to make sure i was home), finished the work promptly and was polite and professional the whole time. I had some other guys working the house on other projects, and Raider Electric was able to work around them with no problem. I might have some wire work to be done in the next few weeks, I will be calling these guys again.

Don and Kristen Auriema run their electrical contracting company as a family business. They value their employees and that is reflected in the outcome of the job. Raider is extremely responsive, accommodating and a pleasure to work with. Our experience was pleasant from the initial walk through to the completion of the work. The bidding process with Raider is extremely detailed as they describe each and every circuit and lighting fixture to be wired and this process serves as a quality control measure prior to start of work.

Don introduced his employees, James and Matt among others who worked on the project, to us at project start and reviewed the scope thoroughly with them. They proceeded efficiently throughout with daily end of day walk throughs to review progress and any issues of concern.

The work was done in a timely fashion with attention to code compliance, owner's needs, neatness and professionalism.

We have recommended Raider to others and will continue to recommend them in the future.

Very timely estimate and work was started promptly after agreeing to estimate. Excellent work and very efficient yet thorough. Also cleaned up after completing the work. Professional and very easy to work with Don. We will definitely hire him again for electrical work that we need done in the future.

Went very well. Don showed up and after asking us what we were looking to do stated clearly what he could do for us. Estimate was clearly presented. On the agreed to day of work, he showed up at exaclty the time he said he would and was ready to go immediately from the gate. In fact I recall not being ready ourselves and had various items in the way. He assisted with moving stuff such as a fridge out of the way. Work was performed EXACTLY as he stated - there were NO SURPRISES whatsoever. We experienced a significant delay in our project that affected some of Don's shedule and he was very accomodating in rearranging his schedule to meet our needs. To put it another way, Don showed up on time, ready to go, performed the job fully to our satisfaction and was extremely professional about it. I Wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

They were very prompt. The guy lives less than a quarter miles from me so he just came over after work so there was no problem getting him here. He sent me a quote via email. The guys showed up when they were supposed to show up and did the work. There was a slight problem with one of the motion detectors so he came back immediately and took care of it.

After a six week kitchen renovation, I found out the hard way that the electrical service for my home was illegally upgraded to 200 amps (seems like the previous owner hired a contractor who did it w/o permits). My initial experience finding an electrician was HARD, with electricians not returning calls in a timely fashion, delaying quotes when the town gave me a deadline to fix my violation. I found Raider Electric on Angie's List and was happy to speak with the owner Don the same day I called his office. He came by that weekend to to assess the work and was very helpful in explaining the source of the code violation and walked me through what the repairs would entail. FYI, a home inspector was on-site that day and they compared notes about the latest electrical subcode rules. Don helped me set up the permits with the local town and we were ready to go. A couple of weeks later when the weather was right, Don and his two apprentices started at 8am sharp. Talk about precision: working like clockwork, the trio set up shop, cut off power and expertly disassembled the old 100 amp feed and mismatched panel. Without missing a beat, they set up the new panel and service feed and systematically labeled all the circuit breakers; all done in under 8 hours. A few days later and the town inspector comes in: you know you've found a good contractor when the inspector opens the panel and expresses satisfaction with the work at first sight, stating that this work with outlast all of us. I couldn't agree with him more.

About four men arrived, all very polite and respectful. They came in like a whirlwind, brought in all there equipment, got to work and finished the job in a few hours. Cleaned up and were gone. No nonsense.

Excellent. We were given an estimate almost immediately after we requested it and they got us on the schedule right away. The work was high quality and they didn't leave a mess! I am planning to use them for any electrical work needed in our new house. I would recommend them to all my friends.
