"Mr. [Member Name Removed] did not like the fact that products are taking longer to manufacture during this pandemic. We told him about this before he signed the contract. We offered to install a door he bought at a home center (which we rarely do) which included picking it up, measuring AND delivering. This is unheard of in our industry. Mr. [Member Name Removed] ordered the wrong swing on his door ( he was told to order a Left Hinge but the doors are sold as being handed) and was upset that we did not put his installation ahead of customers that have been waiting months for their products. He was verbally abusive and threatened us with this review. We wish Mr. [Member Name Removed] the best and hope he finds a company to install his door."

I made an appointment for today for someone to come over to my house. He never called me, e-mailed me or texted. HE NEVER SHOWED UP! I have been waiting all of this time for him to come. Our appointment was 10/06/2020 @ 11:00-1200 noon. If he could not make it, why didn't he just contact me & let me know that he couldn't make it. If this is the type of people Angie's list hires, i don't even want to use Angie's list!

The job proceeded very well overall. Dennis and his team were very professional and thorough. I have an 80-year-old house where no repair/replace/upgrade job ever goes quite as planned and often it's not clear just how extensive the repairs need to be until the works gets started and the old fixtures come out. Dennis and his crew understood that they were working on an old house and adapted very well to the extra work required to finish the job the right way and with superior craftsmanship. The new doors and windows look outstanding and are a big improvement over what I used to have.

Everything went great. Dennis Panza is a true professional. He won't try to sell you anything you don't need, and uses only the very best replacement doors available. He took the time to go over options that were best for our situation. He is a genuinely nice person who stands behind his product and workmanship. On that note, our installer was Carlos who has over thirty years of experience and it showed in the outstanding job he did on both doors. Stop looking and gathering quotations from other companies. This is the one you want to hire. Highly recommend.

It was only a matter of time before I ran into bogus reviews. Last week I called and spoke to Dennis Jr about doing a pocket door repair. We scheduled an appt for Dennis Sr to come to my house and give an estimate. We scheduled a time of 6:30-7:00 on Monday 6/11. I rushed home, I have an hour and 45 minute commute, only to have no one show up, no call to explain or reschedule or any email. I called Dennis on Monday then again on Tuesday and Wednesday. Only to never hear back. So buyer beware. Just another unreliable contractor.

Right from the beginning it was a pleasurable experience. Dennis, who is the sales rep , I think is one of the owners, was very easy to talk to and very knowledgeable about his products. He helped us to make our decision on what would work best for us and went out of his way to ensure to my wife that she made a good choice on the door color she choose. The installer that did the work was extremely careful and did an excellent job on the installation. He was always punctual and very caring in his preparation , completion and look of the work performed.

It went very well. The installer was not feeling well and was a little distant and rude. I wish he was nicer since I basically paid $375 for installation and labor minus the door price of $525. Everything else revolving around the owner was very positive and I would recommend Dennis as he is honest and is looking out for the best interest of you price wise.

Doors are heavy, solid and fit perfectly into the framing. Chose solid color for the exterior and "wood grain" look for the interior. Finishes are beautiful and warrantied. Will no longer need to sand and paint my exterior doors every two years. Perfect installation done by Essex's crew. Researched 5 retailers before making a decision. Essex beat the competition for comparable quality doors. I am very glad I acted on the excellent reviews Essex received on this site from other buyers.

They came for an evaluation and to take measures for the new door to be installed. They always got there on time. To get the door I selected (basic model) I had to wait 1 month but other than that the service was excellent. A little pricy

I have used them multiple times and always for windows. The price stood out to me most of all. To improve they could give better timelines on when the product will be ready. I ordered the window and I was told a couple of weeks but it took a while for me to get the window in. That is usually the case when I have dealt with them. Sometimes they take a little long in getting the product ready.

Dennis was quite knowledgeable about doors and helped us select the right one for us. We waited a few weeks longer than the time frame indicated but it was worth the wait. The technician not only widened the doorway expertly but he also moved the light switch and the garage door opener switch. (I must mention that the light switch wasn't working but he fixed it.) It was all done without any mess whatsoever left behind. Where we used to have a draft under this door, there is now none! It is air tight. I highly recommend Essex Door!

We have worked with Dennis a few times now, and have been thoroughly impressed each time. We've now had two custom wood doors and one custom wood window installed. The materials he uses are top notch and his team is highly skilled, but what stands out the most is the exceptional level of service that Dennis provides. We had a minor issue with one of our doorknobs due to a faulty part. Even though it was six months after the installation, Dennis ordered us a replacement part and promptly came by to fix the issue. We'll definitely continue to be repeat customers and will highly recommend to our friends in the neighborhood.

Both Dennis and Dennis Jr. were very fair and provided excellent customer service. We had some issues with their workers not cleaning up before they would leave, they tore the alarm system out before asking us, they chipped some paint, and were very dismissive in conversation with us. Their work was done very good and when it was brought to the attention of Dennis and Dennis Jr. they both came out right away and checked in on the alarm system, painted where it was needed and did a fair amount of additional work to make everything right. They also had a master carpenter come out to make sure everything was right. The owners were very professional and addressed all issues we did have until we were satisfied.
