Would not recommend this company. My relationship goes back a few years with them and the roof I’ve been trying to get done is still not completed. I had originally dealt with Mike who I guess in the months after he came out to my home and we worked on details was either fired or quit. I was never notified and when I reached out in the month he told me to, I was abruptly told a new tech would have to come out and start the process over again. BUT they did not specify that Mike was gone. I told them I already had a quote and wanted to get that work done and wanted to move forward with that. The woman at the office told me ok someone would get back to me. I never heard back. Then I called back either weeks or months later (it’s honestly been so long I cannot remember) and was THEN told that Mike was no longer there. So we scheduled for someone to come out. Jun was nice and started the process of trying to understand the project my roof would entail. To be clear this is not just a re-shingle job, it was going to require brand new ventilation as well as other detailed aspects. Jun worked with me for a long time on trying to get this done. There was increased plywood prices due to shortages, supply shortages, but we were trying to get this done. Come to find out the roof had been built in a way that made it impossible to fix based on Jun’s original plan. The parts needed were back ordered for many many months. This was in April of 2021. To his credit, Jun showed up at my house with all the equipment and men needed and started work on the roof. He even patched it back up after he found out it was different than expected. He told me to contact him if anything major happened while we waited. The issue I have with Deegan is their communication. That office staff is RUDE. I’d fire my employees for less. If I could only deal with Jun I would. But there in lies my next issue, Jun doesn’t communicate. I had a supposed work number for him that he did not answer. Text or phone call. The last time I spoke to him was April 2021. He told me to reach out if I had any immediate issues and he never got back to me. I also needed to get the gutters done asap and he never responded about that. The final straw of this was today. I had called last week to schedule for Jun to come out to my house to re quote and go over a few new issues like active leaking. He was supposed to show at 8:30am. I called their office at 8:50am after I didn’t hear anything. The woman at the office told me she would reach out the Jun and she did. Supposedly he had an emergency and couldn’t make it. Not sure how not showing up and not notifying is good practice. The thing this woman doesn’t know, is that I have gotten that excuse from the office regarding Jun numerous times. I asked her to have him call me and tried to express my displeasure and she hung up on me. I called back and was told by someone else that Jun is unavailable because he is out in the field working. As of the posting of this I have still not received a phone call from Jun. I really wanted to work with this company, their work looks good and they patched up my roof after trying to get it done. I wanted to repay the faith by still giving them the job. Safe to say that isn’t happening. No recommendations to this company could ever be made by me and I will be sure to warn off any one looking for roofing, siding, or gutters.

Extremely disappointed with our experience with Deegan. After signing a proposal for a gutter replacement, we did not hear back from them regarding the start date for our work. We contacted them 3 times by phone and email and still did not hear back from anyone. Extremely unprofessional, unorganized, and unwilling to even do the most basic customer service. We have yet to hear back from them despite passing the proposed start date for our work and now have to go find someone else. I understand that work for construction and contractors are hectic, but to not even reach out once over a 3 week period and suggest a new date or say the work would be unable to be completed suggests they do not care at all about their customers. Do yourself a favor and go with anyone else but Deegan.

Roof work went on schedule and great work. They had tarps to protect my steps and walkway and did an excellent job and clean up. Next was the gutters, again excellent work. Scheduling was a nightmare. No response to phone calls or e mails. It took weeks to get the job scheduled. The workers were supposed to bring tarps to again protect my steps and walkway. Apparently the email to the office never got to them. Fortunately I had my own tarps and they helped me put them down. This work is being done in the middle of the pandemic, so I can understand the lack of communication between the office and the workers. Replacement workers may have been on the job . Of course, it could be just like one of my doctors: the receptionist must be his mother-in-law because anyone else would have been fired! Despite the office staff issues ,the quality of the work still deserves the highest rating.

Buyer beware. Their pricing is good but the work is substandard and the cost of repairs exceeds the savings. The absolute worst because they lie lie lie. Never returned to fix the damage they did to our brick along the roof line. They tried to cover up the damage. Very professional crooked. They also damaged the inside of our home by dropping the shingles on the roof causing many nail poops in the ceiling sheet rock.

We are having a very, very bad experience with Deegan Roofing so far. They did a new roof for us at our home in Edison about 2 weeks ago and also replaced two skylights. With the heavy rain a couple of days ago, the entire roof in the family room started to leak a lot. Water streamed into the house and we have had to place buckets, utensils, and towels all over the room to collect and clean up the mess. The water also got into the walls and windows, and caused bulges in the ceiling, has damaged expensive electronics and ruined our new hardwood floors. We learnt that they did not finish the job. They left the work incomplete and never even informed us. When it rained, the water got into the family room. We are trying to get them to fix this. I hope they will make this right. They came the first time to provide an estimate and answered all the questions. After that they sent me the estimates for roofing and gutter replacement for the entire house but not before I called them several times. However they never sent an estimate for replacing only part of the gutters for which I had contacted them. I have called them several times and they confirmed their records show that they have to send me that missing estimate but haven’t yet. No one ever calls back.

I chose resealing and the problem got worse rather than better. I called to discuss and it took over 2 weeks to get a call back. When they did a rep stopped over, scheduled a day to fix the problem and then didn’t show up or call. Calling them is useless and their workmanship is poor. They are no better than one of those scam artist roofers.

VERY WELL, CLEAN UP COULD HAVE BEEN A LITTLE BETTER

They took a long time to do it after the mortar came in. the thing about roofing is nobody knows a thing about roofing. He could've charged me a fortune. My whole ceiling thing. "You know what? I have to replace everything," but he didn't. He's kind of my neighbor, I don't know him, but he lives down around the corner. He came, at the time it was June, he came, he was very professional, very courteous and I thought, honest, but I thought so, considering the price. He fixed the job and no problems since.

Very pleasant and friendly. We didn't hire them for the job as they were significantly over priced compared to over quotes we received.

Deegan showed up and roughly scraped all the old shingles off our roof. The new roof went on quickly, and started leaking soon after. Before long there were holes in our ceiling with water pouring through. We tried for months to get Deegan to fix the shoddy work they had done, but they would never respond. We had to hire someone else to come and fix the mess they left us with. Terrible, terrible experience.

horrible, not professional, not responsible. Dont care about your house, only care about the money. after their job, my roof is leaking! called them to fix it, they deny it is their problem! several weeks after they treat the mold, the mold came back in my attic!
Will never never never use them again!!!

No call No Show.

The sad thing is that the original job was done by Deegan Roofing about 15 years ago.  Today they just don't show up and don't care about a customer (even a loyal old customer).

Everything went great with the following highlights:
- Estimator did not try to up-sell their services and said that everything was easy and straight-forward.
- Proposal arrived by mail and email right-away.
- Office responded to my many follow-up questions promptly.
- They sent a person to do the job the day after the proposal was signed.
- The worker (Dennis) was the most-efficient person I've ever seen, quick, courteous and extremely clean.
- Roof and flat roof look great.
Would hire them again on a heartbeat.
