Responsiveness was excellent to our real estate agent who was already known to the owner, Jim Kriney. He came immediately on return from vacation. We thought our original termite inspection was pretty good, but his inspection was much more thorough, knocking h****** all wood and inspecting inside and out. He caught additional damaged areas and spotted tiny termite mud tubes. Jim was knowledgeable, thorough, and very professional in a difficult situation (presence of buyer and seller agents and company that did the repairs). He clearly explained exactly what he found (incorrect and incomplete repairs), and how he would go about repairs. He cheerfully answered lots of questions, including in a promptly returned followup call.
He quoted $846 before tax for termite treatment and $4434 to repair damage, including replacing a rotted basement window, rebuilding a built-in and door jamb after opening up a wall to get at the damage, not including permits and additional hidden damage. He was clear that if hired he will follow the damage until he gets it all out and rightly proud of his reputation for integrity.
Exactly the right way to do things! We're insisting on him to do the repairs.
