Robert Downey General Contractor

My son and daughter-in-law had a house built by Mr. Robert Downey (General Contractor) and it has a number of issues with inside doors that do not close properly. Mr. Downey sent over his carpenter twice and the carpenter told them that he would have to cut the doors down to fit in the door casing. Also, there is a gap in the door that you can see through when you close the door. It is very difficult to get him to do the right thing. They are still waiting for him to fix the issues.

He is wonderful; he is local so it is very nice. The project is coming to a close but there is still another four or six weeks left to the project. He is very attentive, provides high quality work, and all of his sub contractors have been excellent. I have had no issues with the billing and the communication is high and frequent. His office staff is top notch too.

The work took a long time to finish because of the weather. They did the job while we were living in the house. They did a good job, and I rate them high overall.

I was happy with this company. The only thing I can say is that what I paid was a lot more than the estimate. That is because he found a lot of rotted wood on my house, so I kind of feel like that is understandable. Otherwise, I was pretty happy. The job got done in a reasonable amount of time and I thought he did a good job removing the aluminum siding that had previously been on my home.

I HIRED A GENERAL CONTRACTOR TO MAKE A FAMILY ROOM AND TWO NEW BEDROOMS. WE ALSO HAD CENTRAL AIR PUT IN AND OUR HEATING REDONE. HE HIRED THE PLUMBERS AND ELECTRICIANS. THEY ALL CLEANED UP THEIR MESSES AND WERE VERY GOOD.
