After an extensive interview and vetting process during which we spoke with 5 electrical contractors, we narrowed it down to Monte Electric and another electrician. We decided to go with Monte Electric because their quote was competitive, though not the lowest, and Monte was the only company prepared to give a firm start date and a reasonable estimated completion date. Monte Electric was also the only company that specified there would be at least a two man crew on this project every day, with additional workers added as necessary.

Monte Electric worked with us throughout the permit application process (which honestly was not difficult); they started work on March 6, 2012 and completed work on March 14, 2012 - 8 calendar days, but they actually finished the work in 5 business days. Monte Electric missed one work day due to an emergency service call, but they notified us in advance and were able to continue our project the following day after the service call without missing a beat. Monte Electric scheduled the Borough inspection after the work was completed and was present during the inspection.

Monte Electric did all the electrical cabling and recess light installation work with minimal - and I mean MINIMAL - ceiling and wall opening. The way they did the cabling and recess light installation without tearing up my walls and ceilings was impressive. Monte Electric installed all the recessed lights in the configuration we wanted; the switches and dimmers were also installed and configured to control the lights exactly the way we wanted. At no time did I have to ask them to re-do, correct or change any of the work that was done. Monte Electric got everything correct from the get go. Granted, I am extremely hands-on with these projects and I try to catch problems before they develop, and as such I found Monte Electric's workers to be attentive, professional, and they never hesitated to ask questions or point out issues that could arise. They showed up on time, got right to work, finished ahead of scheduled and stayed withing $150 of their original estimate. And the Borough inspection went smoothly; What's not to like?

Having endured renovation projects before, I know they can be very disruptive and anxiety inducing, but Monte Electric seemed to do everything it could to make this project as stress free as possible. We have no reservations recommending Monte Electric for your electrical service needs and we would hire them to do more electrical work for us again without hesitation.

THEY ARE VERY GOOD AT THE JOB THAT THEY DO. THEY GET THE JOB DONE IN A TIMELY MANNER. THEY WERE RECOMMEND TO ME BY A FRIEND. I DID NOT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH THEM WHILE THEY WERE HERE.
