All I'm going to do here is list the things that have been identified as problems after my home was renovated after a fire by Seehaus and Walker 5 years ago. 1. Improper roofing install. Broken plywood was used during roof construction that caused a void in the roof and subsequent leak that impacted multiple floors of the home within 5 years of construction. 2. Installing an interior door where there was an exterior door called for on the architectural plans. The door was warped and had to be replaced within two years of renovation. I didn't realize the discrepancy in the spec sheets until it was too late. 3. Creating an improperly supported knee wall that leaned and was never repaired when brought to attention of Seehaus and Walker within 9 months of moving in. 4. Improperly installed flashing on the trim of the exterior of the home that failed within two years of install and had to be fully replaced along with paneling. 5. Improper placement of gutters compared to architectural plans that impacted water management around the home. This is what I've had to pay out of pocket for other contractors to fix and we're getting into +$10K zone now. There are other things I've had to repair myself that pop every few months like stair trim, door knobs, unsupported shelving, and bathroom fixtures.

Evan was very professional. They cleaned up everything after the work was done and moved the pieces that we planned to keep out into the garage.

I cannot in good conscience recommend this company to anyone. The vice-president, Todd Walker, is unprofessional and incredibly unpleasant to deal with. We were initially told our house would take 8 weeks and then a few weeks into the project Todd told us we were now looking at a 12 week project, which was problematic because we planned a move around this 8 week timeline. When we began questioning Todd about the work not being done in a timely fashion we sent us an email asking us to stop contacting him daily as that was not going help the work be completed any faster and the delay was due to the schedules of his sub-contractors and not something he could control. As the GC he knew the scope of the project up front and should have made every effort to schedule accordingly. The work done by his mason, cabinet guy, floor guy, and plumbers was great; however, the painters did such a shoddy job that they had to come back twice to fix things and in the end my husband and I ended up doing the repairs ourselves. At the end of the day there are far better General Contractors who will not only do their job promptly but will also do it without a nasty attitude. I would recommend staying as far away from Seehaus and Walker as possible.

I could not in good conscience recommend this company to anyone. Todd Walker, the vice-president/estimator, and part owner of the company, is incredibly unpleasant, unprofessional, and rude (even resorting to cursing and use of strong language in recent phone conversations.) When we hired Seehaus & Walker we were told this would be an eight week project, so we planned our move around that date. We began the project on May 31st and throughout most of June there were days at a time when no one was working at the house or even showing up, so we contacted Todd several times to express our concern and reiterate the move-in date of August 1. At this time Todd told us the project may not be done until the 1st of September due to the schedules of his sub-contractors. This is when things became extremely rocky and Todd became combative and surly in his responses to me and my husband, at one point telling us that calling or texting him daily to ask for progress updates would not get the job accomplished any quicker. It is now August 30th and while we are currently living in our house, there are bits and pieces of the project that remain incomplete and several items that need to be fixed (the painting sub contractors they hired did such a poor job that after having them back for a second time to fix a few things, my husband and I ended up finishing the work ourselves.) While Evan Seehaus is a pleasure to work with and we cannot recommend him highly enough, it's unfortunate that the rude and unprofessional nature of his partner, Todd Walker, was enough to make up our minds we will never use Seehaus & Walker again and will not recommend them to anyone.

Seehaus and Walker put an addition which included kitchen, family room and bath several years ago. Since then I have used them for many repairs such as stabilizing interior stairs, installing pull-down attic stairs, etc. I think of my home as the house Seehaus and Walker rebuilt.

They arranged for the mason to install the drains, the plumber to install the pump and the electrician to do the electrical connection. They disconnected and reconnect the washer and dryer. The plumber removed old pipes and installed a new waste pipe. After completion they moved some of my items to the former coal bin so the floor could be painted. They later moved back the items. Both owners, Todd Walker and Evan Seehaus, personally over saw the work and did some of the work. After a number of jobs at my house, I have come to know the rest of their team as well. I totally trust them to make good construction decisions and, more importantly, can trust them to work at my house while I am at work.
