The only thing I wasn't impressed about I guess is aesthetics because it was probably hung lines outside and it stretched out for like four or five weeks ago because he got involved in other things promised to be here and I guess it was just because of that particular time of the year getting into the winter, so I do understand part of it, but part of is he didn't turn up and that sort of stuff. He wasn't that thorough and they had to come out twice. I would use them again.

We came back from vacation and noticed something was leaking in my basement.  It was my water heater.  I called PSEG to investigate and was told that my water heater needed to be replaced.  I called R&M with whom I have hired several times in the past (fixed toilet, replaced leaky pipes, installed baseboard heating in basement) on a Saturday.  I was quoted a price and he was available to work right away.
He came over to investigate and knew what needed to be done immediately.  He left to purchase a new water heater from his supplier and returned with an even better one than he had originally quoted (Rheem) at no extra charge.
He drained my old water heater (luckily for us, it was just leaking and not totally busted which would have resulted in a flooded basement).  He removed the heater.  He installed the new heater and also provided incidentals that he did not charge extra for (connectors, valves, exhaust to the chimney, etc.)
After the installation, he took a minute to explain how the water heater works.
R&M is a one man operation and he has always done an outstanding job for us.  He is an excellent and honest plumber who goes above and beyond.  Highly recommended.
