Gerace Jewelers

I went in for an engagement ring. I know Im taking the plunge. When I went in there I found out they are a family business and the father and daughter were talking with me about many things above my pay grade. I have the stone from her grandmothers ring so Im just looking for the setting. My significant other was in there with me before when they replaced some batteries in a couple of my pockets watches. When we were in there she was peaking around at a few things and saw a couple she liked. The woman working behind the counter remembered me and brought me over to the case in which she was looking after taking out three that she told me she was looking at I took the one in the middle. A beautiful white gold setting with three smaller diamonds on each side of the main stone. I brought the stone with me (unbeknownst to my girlfriend) showed them the stone, they said that it would not be a problem to mount and would take about a week. They also polished and appraised the ring so I could insure it with a company that they use for all their jewelry. All said and done, the ring comes in a little box that resembles a treasure chest and I popped the question that weekend. She said Yes!!!! Now I did go to the big chain stores and although the merchandise was good, they were not able to offer me the time and energy spent educating me and making sure I knew what I was getting in to  with buying a ring. I must say though, had it not been for the family at Gerace Jewelers who took the time and went through all the different information about the rings and stones that I had no idea about, I would have more than likely payed triple what I did. They know their stuff and will go out of their way to make sure your happy. They are my jeweler from now on.
