Description of Work: Provider came to the house, looked over the situation and told us what needed to be done in his opinion. It was more work than we had anticipated but we asked what the cost would be and he said that he would get back to us by the end of the week which he didn't. So I called and left a message and a day later I received a call back from the office that he would e-mail us the breakdown and cost. It was over than what we had expected from his verbal conversation with us and the original price did not include what he claimed really needed to be done but added the additional service as options. The price listed above include the options and taxes. I then e-mailed back to him two questions, none of which involved the price and it has been a week and he still has not gotten back to me. Then my husband and I decided to join Angie's list and see if and how this company was rated and we thanked God that we had as there were 3 horrible reviews and none that were good. I definitely would NOT recommend this company. Not reliable.

+ -1 moreHORRIFYING! I hired Melo Contractors to perform repair work on my house after the hurricane. I had to end the contract because of multiple violations - including removing a structural beam without a permit! 2 years later I received notice that I was being sued for $15,000. This took the cake - especially since there is a binding arbitration clause in the contract that prohibits either party from suing. Melo's attorney said that they did not have to honor the contract and that they would see me in court. I had to hire an attorney and pay ridiculous attorney's fees. The judge threw the case out, but I still was left with my legal fees. DON'T HIRE MELO CONTRACTORS. They are a world of heartache and headaches - not to mention a huge waste of money.

+ -1 moreI would not recommend them. The contact person was Michael Melango. They actually did not honor the terms of the contract. They were very rude and they refused to honor our request that they would not smoke in our home.
