HORRIFYING! I hired Melo Contractors to perform repair work on my house after the hurricane. I had to end the contract because of multiple violations - including removing a structural beam without a permit!
2 years later I received notice that I was being sued for $15,000. This took the cake - especially since there is a binding arbitration clause in the contract that prohibits either party from suing. Melo's attorney said that they did not have to honor the contract and that they would see me in court.
I had to hire an attorney and pay ridiculous attorney's fees. The judge threw the case out, but I still was left with my legal fees.
DON'T HIRE MELO CONTRACTORS. They are a world of heartache and headaches - not to mention a huge waste of money.

I would not recommend them. The contact person was Michael Melango. They actually did not honor the terms of the contract. They were very rude and they refused to honor our request that they would not smoke in our home.
