The plumber was a disaster. First he left the furnace running while he had the gas shut off and it burned out the ignitor. They left the house knowing that there was no heat (and it was a cold Feb day). When they called me to tell me there was a problem, they weren't sure what was wrong or if/when they could fix it. I had to call someone else to come fix it so we could have heat in time. After that was fixed, the next day the plumber was digging for the pipe and cut the Verizon fios cable. Due to storms in our area, Verizon was unable to come fix the cable for 5 days, so we had no TV, internet or phone. Again, I complained to the owner of the company, but got nothing except excuses for why it happened and that they were sorry.
Finally, after those problems, they were delayed another week for final project completion, pushing back the other contractor more than 2 weeks. Additionally, they sent me an email telling me that inspectors would be coming the next day - not nearly enough time for me to make arrangements for someone to be home. When I tried to tell them that I was not able to sit at the house for the inspector, they didn't return my call or email. Inspectors came and no one was home, so had to be rescheduled.
After this experience, I have asked them for a partial refund to cover the costs and headache that this process caused. They are again being unresponsive and said they will only pay for parts for the furnace and the verizon cost, but not the labor associated with the work.
I would NEVER use them again and would caution anyone else to use them. Unless you are someone who is able to be home full time and is knowledgeable about permits & plumbing to supervise their work.
"Hi Member, Earlier this year, New Outlooks began venturing into social media and attempting to increase our Internet presence, and we discovered the review you posted here on Angie's List back in 2013. At that time, we attempted to contact you via email to discuss your comments, but have not received a response. Since 2013, we have returned to your home year after year to perform your generator's maintenance needs. We feel as if we have shown our commitment to establish a good relationship, and would appreciate it if you gave us the opportunity to discuss this further with you. Please contact our office at 609-208-9993 or email our generator salesperson directly at [email protected]"
