+ -1 moreWe ran into only a few minor glitches, none of which were the fault of Mr. Courtenay. Some were structural, others electrical, but a major problem arose when my husband was not happy with a choice we had made to have chrome as the shower diverter's finish. The move was made in order to save money. Even though this put an exptra financial burden on Mr. Courtenay, he had the diverter replaced with a brushed nickel fixture inorder to make my husband happy. He was always pleasant and kind . He and those he brough onto the project were professional and considerate. From start to finish, the project went exptremely smoothly. At the outset, we expressed to Mr. Courtenay that we were on a tight budget. He made valuable suggestions that helped us to reduce the cost of our job without reducing the quality of the end result. The final cost of the project was just under 17,000.00, 5000.00 of which went entirely toward the tile and vanity.
Description of Work: Mr. Courtenay was hired as the carpenter in charge of running my bathroom remodel project. He gutted the room down to the studs, reinsulated, sheetrocked, installed all the fixtures (as well as a window) and coordinated the tile guys, plumber, electrician and inspectors so that the project was done quickly and without incedent. The carpentry work was flawless. Mr Courtenay was not satisfied with anythng less and worked tirelessly to ensure that my bathroom was all that I had hoped. Thank You, Mr. Courtenay!

+ -1 moreGreat overall. In our old house there are always a few surprises such as walls not completely square or a wire which appears to lead to outer space but problems were addressed and resolved sucessfully.
Description of Work: Previous contractor made several errors which Mr. Courtenay had to revisit and repair before beginning the new work. He sucessfully diagnosed the problem and presented a solution as well as adding new cabinets and design work to complete the renovation which is brightr and sunny with wonderful new cabinets for additrional storage. He did a great job cleaning up after his daily visits to work and completely the project timely and professionally. Our neighbor recommended him and stated that she was very satisfied with her complete kitchen renovation so we decided to hire Mr. Courtenay. In turn we recommended him to our other neighbor who needed wotk done. Mr. Courtenay did wonderful design for her kitchen and mud room and completed the work to her great satisfaction. He is honest and considerate of the homeowners' schedule and investment. A valuable resource in today's environment!
