Excellent job. He gave me a schedule for completion- 10 days- which he met. There was very little dust or debris from the work and the area was kept clean at the end of each day. Tarps were laid on the hallway floor to protect them while the work was done. First, the old fixtures and appliances were removed as well as the old drywall and flooring. New sheetrock was installed, taped and spackled. Two additional coats of spackle were applied. After finishing, the seams were invisible. Next, the new tub and surround were installed followed by the new ceramic tile. After grouting the floor, the toilet and sink were installed followed by the medicine cabinet and new lights as well as the shower fan.
As far as DO's and DON'Ts, DON'T take your own measurements if you're not familiar with bathroom fixtures. DO ask the contractor. John gave me some good advice on where to measure.
The bathroom is now brand new; he pays particular attention to detail, particularly in laying the ceramic tile. The lines are straight and the tiles are uniformly spaced. All fixtures are tight; there are no leaks.

John did a great job completing work that I had been putting off for months. He accomplished it all in about 8 hours over 2 days. I'd definitely hire him again.
