This was the worst experience I have ever had with a landscaping company. They are disorganized and nobody in the office communicates with one another. I was scheduled for lawn cutting and they forgot to pull my information. I was told I would be on a Thursday and then they moved me to a Monday. It took 3 weeks before they came out to cut my lawn. I scheduled a spring clean up months before the date. At 5:30 in the evening they still had not come even though I had confirmed the date. I called again and was told a truck was coming. I cancelled it as it was getting too much with shadows and would be dark soon. The owner even gave me an attitude after I told him why I was cancelling his services. Get organized Jays!

Fantastic! There was such overgrowth in my yard due to my husband's illness starting a year ago. My whole yard hadn't had more than a mowing during that time (luckily twice a month by a neighbor). The landscaping team came out and totally straightened my yard over the course of about 6 hours. I was astounded at the yard that existed below all the mess. They cleaned up piles of leaves I couldn't get to and vines that had crawled up the chain linked fence. The place looks great! I even called and let the office know how happy I am! I will be setting up a maintenance visit for every 2 months...I want to keep it looking as nice as it does. I only wish I had gotten before pics to compare it to.

Wow! Our long term landscaper's business folded during COVID. We checked Angi's and found Jay's. This is a is first class operation. After initial call, someone was out to provide an estimate almost immediately. Shortly thereafter, we received a follow up call to ensure we covered everything and to see if we had any questions. We booked a date for the work to be performed two week later. On the day, a small army of very personable gentlemen appeared right on time, confirmed the work to be done and got right to it. These folks worked very hard thru a very long day (in the rain). The results were spectacular! We unconditionally recommend them. Fair price, friendly quality service and wonderful results. We couldn't be happier.

We used Jay’s for backyard in June 2020 & they did excellent work with the lans ape around our pool. So when we did the Front yard 9/17/20 there was no question we were going with Jay’s again. We had Chad come out & he did a wonderful job. My wife & I are very pleased with the results once again.

These guys are efficient! Arrived on time with a crew of 4. Quick, professional, pleasant and got the job done quickly. The work was to clean up an existing mulch bed, plant flowers, add rocks and plant flowers. I went from an unattractive lawn especially on the side of the house to a beautiful attractive rock landscaping. It was a great experience and I highly recommend this business!

I called for an estimate on a property that I was purchasing. They presumed they were being hired to start immediately, I told them I would call them when I moved in. I decided to go with someone else. They claimed they came out and cut and did trees. I told them that I never hired them, they billed me, I refused and they filed a small claim but court was rescheduled because of pandemic. My landscaper that cut my grass the entire time is going to court with me to say that he did my yard and does not know that they did too. The house was being renovated so we were living in a hotel for two months while we were waiting for the renovation to be done so we were not there to see who was coming and going. I think they knew we would not be able to tell and were mad because we did not hire them. I did get an estimate for a tree at that time too and found that someone cut down the wrong tree and I was furious but confused about how it happened. I spoke to the guy on the phone and he just insisted that they worked for me, we have no contract and I told him I was not paying him, if he was working for the previous owner that he should call them. Because he is suing me in small claims court for $600 my lawyer is going with and is investigating his business practices. We called several local agencies and they all say there is nothing but trouble with him. Do not hire them, and do not get an estimate. Also some of his services dates were prior to me owning the house, so it works in my favor.

"On May 22 2019, our office received a phone call from a [Member Name Removed] Gibbs for her property at [Member Information Removed] North [Member Information Removed] Avenue Moorestown NJ. We had an estimator leave a quote at the property on May 23, 2019 for biweekly lawn cutting service as well as cutting up a downed tree in the backyard and cutting back branches. Between the timeframe of May 23 and June 18, our office received a phone call to preform the services quoted. After servicing the property for 2 months and doing the tree work quoted, we had made numerous attempts to reach out to Ms. Gibbs regarding payment. After many failed attempts, we stopped lawn cutting services at the property. Ms. Gibbs claims she did not live or own the property until August of 2019 in her statement. I am confused with why she would contact a company for quotes and service for a property in May 2019 if she did not live there until August 2019? Also, she claims in the statement she hired another landscaper that was servicing the property during the timeframe we serviced which was June and July 2019. So she had hired another landscaper to service the property as well as us during a timeframe that she did not live in or own the property of? Ms. Gibbs was text messaging back and forth with the owner of Jay's Landscaping regarding her outstanding balance on numerous occasions. We have text messages from Ms. Gibbs stating she was at the property when our crew was there cutting up the large tree in the backyard but then she states in this complaint we did not even perform the services nor were we hired by her and the wrong tree was cut down? We have text messages from Ms. Gibbs stating she felt bad she owed us money bc she used our services at a previous address and she didn't want us to be "beat for the money" when she knows we did the work. Never has there been any discussion, estimate, or work done regarding a drain pipe installation. This is why there is a court case now established."

They did an excellent job! They came when they said they would and cleaned up afterwords. They said they would come back after the winter season and replenish anything that had passed. They are really great people and are very nice. They listened to what I wanted and did exactly what I asked. I would highly recommend them to others.

We used Jay's in the spring, they did a wonderful job of cleaning up and mulching and we had them lay chipped wood on one side where grass doesn't grow, only weeds. They did a great job. They were so good we had them back on Nov. 20th. We had some shrubs removed and one transplanted and they did a wonderful clean up. They arrive when they say they will and are friendly and courteous. We recommend them and will use them again.

Had to wait over a month for work to start. Work crew was fast, professional and courteous. Project manager became argumentative when he forgot to include plants we told him we wanted during proposal. Work crew saved the day, despite working long hours to complete the front landscaping as agreed the next day. Never showed up to do backyard portion.

I was looking for someone to provide general landscaping, grass cutting and tree trimming service, so I decided to come onto Angie's list to see what companies were in the area. Based off of the reviews that I saw about Jay's Landscaping I decided to give them a try. A called a few weeks in advance to schedule a time when someone would be able to come out and provide me with a quote. We agreed that someone would come out on May 19th, 2018 at 12 Noon. Since it was raining that day, around 11:30 I called to confirm that they would still be available to come out and the lady on the phone assured me that they would be here. Well, 12:00 came and no one, then 12:15 and no one, then 12:25 and no one. At 12:35 I called to check and see where they were and surprise surprise no one answers the phone. I left a Voicemail and I still have not received a call back. In essence, they were a no call, no show. I find it extremely unprofessional for any business person to waste someones time as they did with me. How hard is it to just pick up the phone and say you're not going to make it? It's mind boggling to me that someone would choose to run their business in such an unprofessional manor. I suppose not everyone is interesting in running their business properly. I guess I can count this as a blessing in disguise. If they cant even honor a time commitment to provide an estimate/quote, it would most likely be very difficult dealing with them in the future on an ongoing basis.
