The office visit is $60 and they have to charge for anything else they have to do like vaccinations or when they run tests or for the medications. I will continue to take my pets there. There are four separate doctors and they're so responsive to animals. The animals like them. Everybody there is wonderful.

My beagle Max has very severe allergies for which he is on medication. Occasionally his allergies get worse and his medication needs to be adjusted. I have been bringing my pets to Ringwood Animal Hospital since 1989 and as far as I am concerned they are the best. We moved out of state for a few years and I can honestly say that no other vet ever measured up to the doctors and staff at Ringwood Animal Hospital. We are back in New Jersey now and we don't live as close as we use to but it is so worth the trip because I know my little babies are getting the care they deserve. My 2 German Shepherds got excellent care in the late 80's thru the 90's and now it's my 3 rescue dogs. I could literally go on forever about how wonderful these people are.

Would have written a review sooner but just joined Angie's List today!
Taboo had been ill with inflammatory bowel disease for a while and had started to have issues with her litter box, vomiting and losing weight. Both she and her sister, Snickers, who had cancer and died in October 2010, were regulars at Ringwood Animal Hospital. Each time we went we were greeted with warmth and treated with kindness. Both cats saw Dr. Arnold, Dr. Riccardelli and Dr. Roginski at some point. All three vets were proactive and at the same time didn't recommend unnecessary treatment or tests. We are so grateful to everyone at Ringwood Animal Hospital.
The doctors there are so accessible. During a particularly difficult time with Snickers, we were able to email Dr. Arnold who emailed right back with his recommendation (and praise for the cat!)-that was a big help to us. AND it was a holiday weekend, ta boot! Whenever we would call RAH with a question or for test results, one of the doctors took the call right away or called back within minutes. What more could a person ask for? Just fantastic.
The prices are extremely reasonable compared to other animal hospitals we've used in the past and we happily paid the fees. The staff at RAH is so caring and professional. They all took such good care of our little girls. Although Taboo died on her own, at home, Snickers was put to sleep at Ringwood and the atmosphere was so comforting that it made a heartbreaking thing a bit easier.
We will be bringing our next kitties there...once we adopt them! We highly, recommend Ringwood Animal Hospital.

The people at Ringwood Animal Hospital are compassionate and very good. They are very thorough. The hospital is very convenient. What more can you ask? The people are very nice and love your pets. That's all you want really. The environment is very clean. I suppose the price for the services is the normal rate. Veterinarian medicine is very expensive, so I guess the prices at Ringwood is comparable.

The doctors and assistants are some of the most caring people we have ever met in this business. Extra care and understanding was provided when we had to put two of our cats to sleep after struggling with cancer and diabetes. This happened within months of each other and it was quite traumatic for us. They went above and beyond to make it as easy for us and each kitty as possible. They are always professional and courteous, offering medical care alternatives in plain language.

Our most recent interaction has involved age-related incontinence that has developed in both of our dogs. Dr. Ricardelli started them with a low dose of Proin 75. It worked beautifully for one dog, but did not seem to have any effect on the other dog. He suggested trying a higher dose for the other dog for one week, and to let him know the result; when that also had no effect, he recommended a urine test to rule out infection. Everything was normal, and he then prescribed a hormone - stilbestrol - for her, with carefully controlled dosage. This does now seem to be working. Throughout the trials and diagnosis, the vet was easily reachable, and very prompt with returning calls and providing results.

Although not much can be done for my elderly dog's eye, Dr. Ricardelli and his assistant Doris are so caring that they do whatever they can to make my dog comfortable. They try to put themselves in the animal's position to understand your pet's condition and best course of treatment. Their prices are very reasonable. I now travel 20 miles for visits and if my dog wouldn't mind I would go even further.
