I made attempts to call him, but initially he made appts. and then never showed up. I continued to call but was unable to reach him. The work continued to deteriorate. The retaining wall is now leaning, and the stone in the wall has separated and cracked. The walkway and patio have sunken and the stones on the steps have loosened or fallen out. The entire walkway is dangerous to walk on with so many tripping points. The french drain never worked. I had it redone several years ago by someone else because of flooding and was told it was never done properly. It's worked fine since.
In July of 2013, my partner called him using his own cell phone. Mr. Fierro responded to this call. My partner set up an appt. with Mr. Fierro to come to the house, but did not tell him about the work he'd done. He showed up for that appt. We showed him his work and he stated he was "ashamed" of the work and that it was not typical of his work. He also stated he would "redo the entire walkway and retaining wall at his expense". He stated he normally would not do this after this amount of time had passed but that he was ashamed of it. I reminded him of several appts. he'd made with me in 2009, but he stated he didn't remember that. He then made an appt. for the end of July, approximately 3 weeks later. He stated he'd have his entire crew here and could possibly finish it in one day. We called him a few days prior just to confirm and he said he was unable to come, but would come the following week. We repeated the same process over the summer with Mr. Fierro setting appts. and then giving excuse after excuse why he couldn't come.. During the last phone conversation he asked me for all my phone #'s so he could reach me immediately and let me know he was coming. I gave him my home, work and cell numbers. That was the last correspondence we had with him. We tried calling endlessly that Fall and then gave up when Winter arrived. He would never take our calls or return any message. I left messages on his phone, sent him a personal message on FaceBook and sent him an email. He did not respond to any of them. Several weeks ago, I sent him a registered letter stating that due to his refusal to accept my calls or return messages related to his inferior work, I would have to proceed by using social media, the Better Business Bureau and an attorney. I let him know I would prefer he resolve the situation by fulfilling his promise of July 2013 to complete a full repair. In return I received a letter stating I should send all correspondence to his attorney. His attorney had the same last name as his. I would never recommend this person to anyone.
