Eagle Electrical Contracting and Repair Corp

"Member was great to work with at first.We have done and still do work for the rest of his family. It is now 2013. The scope of work continued to escalate upon each return to the site. We can not keep adding to the amount of work without increasing the ultimate cost for the job. The last portion of the job involved renovating a bathroom. A change of this magnitude requires a permit update. I told Member I would submit paperwork for the permit and be at the site within 1 week. Upon entering the site to do the work I found that the work had been done by someone else. The permit is the Eagle Electric and therefore this companies responsibility. I contacted Member to find out why he had someone else do the work. He stated he could not wait a week because he wanted to put up the sheetrock. I stated I had to do the permit update and then fit him on the schedule. I can not cancel another job simply to get done in his time frame unless it is an emergency. Being that he was not living in the house at the time I did not consider this an emergency. At this point in time I notified the town that Member had another person do the work in the bathroom that I had a permit for. I will not take responsibility for another persons work unless they are employed by Eagle Electric. At this point I notified the town about the work that had been performed under my name that I had not done. This is was 3 days before Member called the office at 2am and left a 3 minute tirade in which he berated, ridiculed, cursed and was so loud that I could not hold the phone to my ear. I then removed myself as the contractor of record for this particular job. I never had too do this before and have never had to do this since this interaction, on any job this company has been involved in. Yes I pick up the phone at 2am because I am a full service company and emergencies do happen at all hours of the day. This company has been in existence since 1989. I am the owner and operator and have built this company on customer service which is priority number 1. Our customer list includes customers that we have had an ongoing working relationship with since the business was started. Both contractors and individuals comprise this list."

"The work that the customer hired our firm for was completed and charged accordingly. The labor rate for the first 1/2 hour is was $85 plus material and tax. This particular type of work was considered a service call. The work Margot spoke of that we never returned to perform, required a contract according to the laws that govern electrical contractors in the state of New Jersey. The contract was sent to Margot and was never returned to Eagle Electric with a signature. This firm can not and will not execute work that is in violation of the laws that govern the licencing for electrical contractors. The laws are in place to protect consumers health and safety and protect them from unscrupulous contractors. Eagle Electric has been located in Ringwood NJ for it's entire existence, and I, the owner have been a resident for 44 years. Our customer list is extensive, with a large percentage of them still having a working relationship with this firm. We guarantee quality and customer satisfaction. These are our priorities. We will go out of our way to take care of your needs and accommodate you in any way we can."
