"Thanks for the A."
"Thanks for the review. I've gotten a few "B" grades on price over the years, and I do my best to try to keep the prices of my jobs as reasonable as possible. I think sometimes people's perception of the price can be a little skewed by the fact that they only get to see what I do while I'm working at their homes, and don't get to see all the work that goes on behind the scenes making that possible. The reality is I easily work as many hours working on the business as I do doing the actual work at customer's homes. Things like ordering materials, restocking/maintaining the truck, paying bills, processing work orders, filing, accounting, dealing with state/federal/sales taxes, etc. etc... I could ramble on until I ran out of characters. These are all jobs that need to be done in order to be able to be in a position to respond to people's calls for help resolving their plumbing or heating problems. I don't mean to sound defensive and I appreciate the excellent grades you gave me. I'm just trying to make anyone who takes the time to read this aware that there's a lot more work that goes on than just what they see when I'm working at their homes. One other note, I looked back at the copy of the work order for this particular job and the price was $475 + tax, not $650. So If I'm going to graded on $650, is it okay if I bill you the additional $175? lol. I look forward to being there the next time you're in need of my services."

"That was funny. If there was a website contractors could join to find and review their customers I'd give you straight A's, too. Thanks again."

Dave is as good as it gets. He loves his work, he's attentive, detail oriented, punctual and not expensive. He performs the work with a joyful attitude and leaves the area pristine. All I can say is, I have no worries about plumbing problems around the house, because I know who to call.
