Bob did a great job remodeling our master bathroom. From helping on the design, recommending solutions to help us save money, to completing the work. We are very satisfied with the end result. Would recommend and will use again.

We are very pleased with the work Bob did.  Backsplash looks great  and the wife is happy so that makes me happy.  He was very professional and friendly.  He said with his schedule it would take two- 1/2 days to complete project but as will happen there was a scheduling snag and he completed the work on the backsplash in 1 day to avoid inconviencing us. 
We are in talks with Bob to do some more work around the house.   

I want to praise Bob Wiggins of Lay it Down Tile and Home Improvement for the work he did in my home, which was done timely and with precision.  His cost, after comparing it to others, was the best.  I completely trusted and felt comfortable with him being in my home when I was not present.  I would recommend Bob to anyone.

They installed the tile on the floor and supposed to come back to wipe the haze off and then seal. When we called to see when he will come back, he said on Monday at 10:30am. I waited home all day and he never showed or called. When I called him he said he forgot he was off Monday, he meant Tuesday. However, he never showed up on Tuesday, came on Friday. After wiping down we said the grout looks messy and the color is off, there were some skinny lines and some thick and not straight, he said you can wipe it with a wet towel and it will come off. We said can you come here and do it...why should we have to scrub the floor since we paid to get it done. We felt there was alot of bullcrap words....the job was not left nice, clean, professional the way we thought it would be. It took 1-1/2 months for him to offer a regrout and never apologized for the crappy job they did to begin with. We have used him about 5 years ago and he did do a great job, but I dont know what happened to his professionalism and honesty and detail to his work. Losing trust in him, my husband and I thought we would take the challenge to do the grout ourselves and glad we did.

Its ashame he didnt do a great job since we had so many other jobs for him to do. We will need to find someone else :(

The design of the tile went very well.  There were lots of cuts,  and we were very happy with the way the tile turned out.  We did not like the fact that the job was never completed.  The price included saddles for the areas where the kitchen floor meets the Living room, and where the kitchen floor meets the Family room.  This was never completed.  We have tried to call Lay It Down, but we get no response.  The floor has been done for over a month now, and they still have not come back to finish.  So basically it makes the entire area look bad.

Bob was very punctual and his communication before and during the job was very good. 
I should have set a completion date so that I was sure of the days they would be there all day .vs part of the day or not at all. A couple of the days I was told they would be there but they weren't able to accomplish that extending the project into the next week.
Overall they did a good job. There were several detail things/short cuts that were missed and discovered when the painter arrived. Not the end of the world but I would have done it a bit differently next time.  They were good about doing as we asked as the project progressed. If you are very detail oriented I would get EVERYTHING in writing before the job. Not just the basics.
They did an great job of keeping the mess to a minimum during the work and and always cleaned up after every day of work. I felt comfortable about them in the house during the work and would recommend them with a word of caution realtive to the details 
and specifics.
Everything looks good, now that we are complete.

Bob did an amazing job on remodeling our bathrooms.  We gave him a very short timeline and he worked extremely hard to finish on time.  He went above and beyond to make the experience easy on our family and our budged.  We would highly recommend Bob to anyone who is looking for a great quality and budget friendly contractor.

It went well, the bathroom tile and bathtub were replaced.

And it went very well.  So nice and cared about my dogs.

I called them several times and when I finally spoke with them, they said they are not in New York.

They were out of my service area so I was not able to take advantage of their service.

Bob and his crew did an outstanding job on my bathroom.  When Bob came to provide his estimate he was able to offer many suggestions that helped reduce the cost of the remodeling job.  He did not try to sell me anything extra and worked closely with me to find a solution to each of the areas I needed addressed i.e. floor, toilet, sink and shower stall. 

Both he and his assistant were very meticulous and the quality of the job that he did especially on the floor made the reasonably priced vinyl tiles obtained from a home center look fantastic by leaving a separation between each and grouting between them. 

In removing the old bathroom sink a lot of the counter tiles became loose and Bob replaced and regrouted at no extra cost.

The remodeling of the bathroom came out fantastic.  Bob's costs made the job well worth the effort in improving the house.  I would absolutely recommend them for any bathroom or tile work you are looking to have done on your home.

Bob and Ron worked as a very efficient team to install ceramic tile in entrance foyer and powder room in about four hours.  They returned the next day to grout and install new trim ( which was recommended to improve appearance ).  Both were very professional and installation work went smoothly.

It was a great experience. The job was done professionally and on time. All contractors should be this good.

The job went very smoothly. Bob and his workers were neat, efficient, and professional. They worked fast - the job was done in less than a week. Bob was very responsive. During the final inspection, he noticed some rough areas on the drywall and came back the next day to fix it. We'll definitely ask him to come back.

UPDATE: The job looked great in the beginning, but it didn't last. After a couple of months, the caulking around the tub started to peel away, and then the grout started to crack. The entire tub-surround needs to be re-grouted and re-caulked. We briefly considered calling Bob back to fix the job, but decided against it because we wanted it done right and no longer had confidence that Bob could do it. We're very disappointed.

Bob worked consistently on the initial job for several days until he completed it. He was very professional and very meticulous, even with minor details. The slate was difficult to work with because the shapes were irregular and it was very thick. He always cleaned up behing himself very well.
As I said above, Bob did two jobs for NO charge, and he refused any offer for payments.
Also, Bob is very friendly and approachable!

Well....Bob came and gave us an estimate in May.  We decided right away to use him.  We then ordered our cabinets from Lowe's. Bob met us at Lowe's and was their to help with the entire process. ( Bob was great...Lowe's was not.)  Bob did offer to help get our cabinets somewhere else but we wanted Kraftsmaid.  Once Bob starting installing, he realized some of the cabinets were damaged.  He took care of all the problems by calling Lowe's.  We also had a problem with the laminate flooring we had ordered.  Not only did Bob help take care of that, we were away and he actually went to a floor store and helped pick out our new floor.  He was amazing!!  The kitchen looks great and then after he completed the job we decided to have him redo our bathroom.
