The back of the chair broke in many pieces but Dave was able to repair beautifully. Also repaired and cleaned up an antique decorative screen to look like “new”. Pick up and delivery we’re on time and job was completed in a shorter than expected time.

Dave returned my initial call promptly and scheduled an appointment for the next day. He arrived on time and was able to work with the existing hardware in my home and repair it as opposed to replacing it. I had also asked about refinishing the table which he advised against in order to maintain the integrity of the piece. I really appreciated his honesty and desire to make us happy. I will absolutely use him in the future and refer him to my neighbors and friends!

Dave arrived when expected, quickly assessed the nature of the work we needed done. The table top, leaf, and all six chairs would have to go to his shop for the repairs and refinishing. All of the chairs would have to be disassembled, joints cleaned, be re-glued. One of the chairs required major repairs as a leg and a rung had broken. He quickly and professionally removed the table top from the base.
He gave us an accurate estimate. He delivered the table top, leaf, and chairs when he said it would be done and reassembled the table. He provided detailed instructions on caring for the newly refinished table top and and leaf and also provided a free can of furniture polish he recommended we use on the top. We were very pleased with the quality of his work and how well the refinished work matched the un-refinished base and chairs. He was very professional, while being very personable, to deal with. We were more than happy to give him our check for a job well done.

Dave arrived when expected, quickly assessed the nature of the work we needed done, completed some of the minor trim and touch-up work on the spot, and took away a small stool which needed to have its legs regaled, which he was able to complete within a few days. He gave us an accurate estimate and also some interesting information about how antiques are hauled from New Jersey to Maine and retailed there as "genuine New England antiques." This proved to be very entertaining and enlightening. He dropped off the stool when he said it would be done and took our check for a job well done.

I struggled to find someone that repaired recliners.  I started by contacting the manufacturer which was located in Canada.  They were no help at all.  When I found A Furniture Guy through Angie's List he said he was not in my area much but he would give me a call in a few days.  He kept to his word and called back and came to my house a few days later.  Also, he came on a Saturday which was convenient for me because I work during the week.  Dave was very pleasant and extremely competent.  I would highly recommend him!

The owner came out, gave us an estimate and returned in 1 week with a perfect bed!

He did a great job (can't even tell where the damage was located). He also gave the head and foot boards a complementary cleaning/waxing!

Not only is he very efficient but he's calm and and quot;low key!and quot; I highly recommend him- You will be very happy with him!

1) chairs were satisfactorily and promptly repaired
2) this is a piece of furniture for which one repair person never returned my call for assistance. Another repair person showed up and indicated that he needed to go back to his shop and get a larger clamp. I am still awaiting his return. David, on the other hand, took this piece of furniture back to his shop and returned it back to me in original purchase condition. This sideboard was 20+ years old.
3) this was a difficult job because the dresser drawers had an unusual slider mechanism and the manufacturer of the dresser had not been building furniture for over 15 years. David was able to follow up on a lead on the WEB that identified a company that assembled a slider that ultimately was a perfect solution to fix my drawer issues. He kept me informed by telephone of his efforts to obtain the correct parts for the fix.
This has been a most impressive experience with a skilled craftsman.

Dave came right on time, called ahead to let me know he was near, and he was business-casual / friendly about everything. I appreciatedthe information he gave me about what to expect. He had to take the sofa to his shop and said it would be about a week.He finished the job early and returned the sofa a few days earlier than expected. The bill was exactly what he quoted and I was very happy with everything he did.

Was on time and cost was completely transparent. Did a very good job, although fixed it differently than initially indicated, which surprised me when he returned the fixed items. But he explained the difference and the job was very well done and his behavior was very professional and he was very punctual.

This is an excellent craftsman and a nice man to deal with. Would highly recommend him.

This guy is nice, prompt, helpful. I was surprised by how quickly he took care of the project. The tops of the chairs seem very solid now, and I think he must have either touched up the stain or polished the chairs, because they look much better than when they left here. He was very responsive to my concerns and made sure I was satisfied with the results. He also gave me free advice on how to deal with minor hazing of a table top.

I called Dave on a Sunday and left a message on his machine. He called me back the next day and we set up a date for him to come by. He was prompt and he looked over the chair and gave me price before he left. I was happy with it, so he took the chair home with him. Approx 1 1/2 weeks later, he called and we set up a date to deliver the chair. He arrived on time and the chair looked great. Would use him again, he was very professional.
