I was able to get a truck and crew on short notice and was able to make an efficient move into my new home with little to no issue. Everything was handled properly and the crew took care to unload boxes and equipment right where I needed it. Highly recommend if you're looking to make a local move!

We came across Moving of America via Angi and saw good reviews. We were on a relatively short time frame to do an in-state move. Joey was responsive and organized, describing the way the company manages the move, how the cost is calculated. His colleague Galileo came to do the in person estimate. He was on-time and pointed out suggestions on ways to pack and manage the move process most effectively. The team at Moving of America followed back up with the contract as well as a call the day before to follow up on some of the logistics. The day of, the foreman was in contact on arrival time, introduced his team, did a walkthrough and got to work. The team worked hard throughout the day and raised any questions or issues. While the move did go over the estimate, the foreman was clear on the timing and expectations. We appreciate all of their hard work and would recommend them to others

The team slowed down enough upon arrival to get an additional hour added to my total, but only used 25 minutes of it. The bunkbed reassemble was a little shoddy. A little wall damage.

Worst Moving Experience Ever – A Complete Scam business Beware of the dirty tricks used by this moving company: 1. Deliberate Delays to Increase Charges – The movers idled and wasted time, dragging out the job to charge more by the hour. 2. Extortion for Additional Payments – They held our furniture hostage, threatening to cancel the job on moving day and demanding extra payments before downloading furnitures 3. Absurd Excuses – traffic cause delays, claimed we had "too many" boxes not listed in the inventory (such a joke, all quoted companies said boxes do not matter), and using the elevator for moving causing delay(WT*?); Furniture wrapping—something other moving companies all do—cost time. All the excuses they can imagine to waste more time. 4. Abusive Customer Service – When we called the office to report the delays, they yelled at us, interrupted, do not let us speak, and even hung up. Later, we were harassed with repeated calls. 5. Poor Furniture Assembly – They left our bed frame and office desk wobbly and unstable. See the pictures below for proof. We have used four different moving companies before and obtained quotes from four others for this move. Every other mover completed our moving in six hours for a local move. All the quotes we received estimated the job would take six hours. However, this company wasted four hours just loading the truck while demanding full payment above the agreed price. They deliberately m overcharged us. This was essentially a gangster-style, robbery-like moving experience. The movers arrived significantly late, frequently disappeared during the job. When we called the office to report their laziness and inefficiency, they threatened to cancel the job and unload all our furniture after 3.5 hours—when 90% of it was already loaded onto the truck! Then they hung up on us. Later, we were bombarded with harassing calls. On-site, the staff also threatened to cancel the job in front of our neighbors. Fortunately, the entire building know their behavior and will never book them in the future. This was an absolute nightmare. Imagine having your moving job canceled on moving day, especially when you’re busy and stressed, your lease has ended, your cleaning is scheduled, and your leasing office is closely monitoring your move-out. After being hung up on and begging them not to cancel, they demanded extra payments not included in the contract, holding our belongings hostage at the destination. To make things worse, the furniture they assembled was so wobbly we had to hire a handyman to fix it. We know what hard-working and efficient movers look like—we’ve hired them before! We have never been threatened with job cancellation, forced to pay extra before completion, or left with unstable furnitures! The person named Joey was the ringleader of this scam—yelling, interrupting, threatening, and pretending to be hard-working before we signed the contract. Such experience deserved to be reported to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and filed a detailed scam complaint. This company doesn’t make friends in business; they make enemies on purpose. Moving of America delivered the worst quality of service and customer experience for sure! We sincerely hope no family ever experiences what we went through by Moving of America

Below is our investigation report which is based on 3 three factors: recorded calls, our tracking system installed in each of our trucks, and our electronic handheld device used by the Forman to record the move as it happened. There were no delays of any kind. Time began upon arrival at your place and begin working and finalize the bill at your delivery. You were not present for a vast majority of the labor-intensive part of the move where we wrapped, prepared, and loaded your items very quickly. Our original estimate was 8 hours, you requested 6.5 hours to match the lowest estimate you were receiving from others, and the final move charges were for only 7.5 hours, which is less then the original estimate we provided. It would be physically impossible for us to work slowly and accomplish this move in that time frame. We followed the standard procedure of closing the contract and billing with you upon arrival of the delivery. This was verbally confirmed by your rep, on the signed contract, and reconfirmed 48 hours before your move. Your bill ended up ½ half hour more then charged, which we discounted. No delay around the train effected your bill. Moving the boxes you had listed, with additional boxes and furniture, down a long carry to the elevator and up to the truck, is part of the reason the move might need more billing hours as we quoted originally. You also mention furniture wrapping, which was provided for free, but we explained it will take time to complete it. We have never had a service where the final bill and price is less then the original estimation and expected hours, and the client claims otherwise. If you believe you have unstable furniture, please return the claim form and reply to our phone calls so we can assist on this matter as well. ***REAL CUSTOMER FEEDBACK*** They have friends fill out fake reviews, to make themselves look good. I wish I could upload countless videos of the experience, google unfortunately caps me at the picture of left behind beers they drank while “working.” I actually wouldnt even mind if they finished the job we signed up for, ones only left to believe the drinking could’ve started mid day, and the end results was a terrible customer experience, left with renting our own U Haul and finishing what they started. Truly sad that a business doesnt hold its reputation to a high regard. Fake friend reviews will eventually disappear, and real clients will expose this disaster. Sure, they might be cheaper than others, BUT, but, but, between “overtime” and other non sense you’ll pay more than you would with a company thats more pricy. On the 28th we scheduled to move a 2 bedroom home. It took from 8am - 12 midnight, and 40% of it was still left incomplete and we were stuck moving it ourselves. I normally dont leave reviews, but this experience was terrible!!!!! Stay far away from this gimmick. Theyre nice people, (the moving crew) but very savvy with the clock. You will overpay and have endless hours of work the following da. 24 hours later, and 2 u haul loads and we are still not finished! I do not recommend!!!!! Unless you want to waste money and have to do 50% of the work Yourself! Its criminal! Not sure how they run a business robbing and stealing! Do yourselves a favor! Dont hire this company! Theyre cheaper than the others for a reason! Youll pay dearly! I learned the hard way! **UPDATE** Ps - they leave their empty beer cans on my property. (See picture proof.) I challenge the owners to get a itemized bill. They wont, because they dont care! Theres no pride in their work! Update #2 - I called into this unethical business and was greeted by a “Gem”named Giovanni. His professional was direct reflection of the poor service they provided. He defended his guys, (which is honorable, but I youre wrong here, anyway.) Giovanni stated the first truck came at 6:45 (Lie) have video showing otherwise. I also made mention or the beer left on my property (see photo below) and his guys drinking on the job, (maybe thats why it wasnt completed?) he stated they don't do that. (I guess the beer cans just appeared magically.) lastly he states, “you’re not my customer your wife is” very professional Giovanni. If you want to deal with thieves, that milk the clock, and throw away thousands, use this company! Theyre the most unprofessional, batch of folks walking this planet! Stay away!!!!!!!! I am still amazed at the level of unprofessionalism. To the gentleman working, its a difficult job I respect that.

All phone calls and written confirmations were made with your wife, who provided us with the details, and made decisions. We have a strict no-alcohol policy and after investigation can confirm that it was likely left by construction workers working at the site during the move. This activity complicated operations, but our team worked diligently to complete the service. The estimate was for a list of 201 items, totaling 1,979 cft, and we provided two trucks with a combined capacity of about 3,600 cft. Despite this, items such as bulky arcade machines and extra items were introduced which naturally impacted the duration of the move. Per our contract, the overtime charge is discounted and was approved by your wife. On move day our team encountered items that were still unpacked. This was not communicated during the initial planning phases. Nonetheless, we sent a representative at no extra charge to remove gas from the fuel-powered items, which was the customer's responsibility. We reached out and explained the additional charges and your wife confirmed to move and pack the extra items. Later, when it became clear that there wouldn’t be enough space for everything in both trucks, we offered to return for the remaining items and were declined. Our goal is to provide the highest level of service, and we regret that this experience did not meet your expectations. We remain open to discussing any concerns and encourage you to reach out so that we can work together to resolve this matter. My recent move with Moving of America exceeded my expectations. I had to throw together a pretty large move quickly and was surprised at the professionalism and accommodations provided. Joey, my main representative, was able to come into my home within 2 days and put together an accurate quote for me. I liked how all of the confusing things were built into the price and I am really just paying the movers for their hard work and time. Last time I moved a few years ago, I used a different company, and the bill seemed to have an endless list of things I would have never thought of, and what I thought would be cheap price became a very high price. Moving of America was true to their reputation and I had no surprises on my bill. I really hope I don't need to move again soon but if I do I will 100 percent be using them again. My team leader of my moving team was Giovanny and he was super sweet and personable.

First of all i dont think Angi is a good source for finding a good moving company i got a list of what i thought was 4 and 5 star movers and had direct contact with at least half of them, Moving of America is probably typical of how moving companies work all of the estimates were almost exactly the same, strange when you consider 4 of the 8 movers i contacted gave me an estimate without even coming over to look. The first thing i was told when the movers showed up was that they would probably be late getting to the new location cause their gps wasnt working, next thing that happened was the office called to see how I would be paying for the 2 or 3 extra overtime hours. It took a long time to wrap everything and load the truck things that didnt need to be wrapped and over wrapped everything to slow things down and keep that extra 2 to 3 hours overtime, finally after the truck was loaded they left before me, guess i left about 10 to 15 after them, when i got to the new location they werent there yet and i waited nearly 45 minutes for them to arrive, must have gotten lost, right? gps wasnt working and had to take a different route. While they were still working i was given the bill an final paperwork, thugh they were still working was told they would be finished at the exact time they said including overtime before they started. Why give someone a survey to fill out before the job is done, which they did no wonder they get such good reviews hard to say someone is terrible when he is standing right next to you. Use this company at your own risk in fact be careful of anything on this site, not accurate at all.
