PEERLESS CONTRACTORS LLC

Very strange, and ultimately BAD EXPERIENCE. We spoke to these guys about doing several projects for us. They were very excited about winning our business. Gave us quotes for a kitchen remodel, bathroom remodel & small job expanding our den by encorporating two large closets. B/c they gave us competitive pricing and were recommended, we hired them - starting with the small project in the den. They were to demo 2 closets, drywall, paint, and patch and refinish wood flooring to match existing floor. To start with they worked very sporadically - only coming on weekends and nights. But, not consistently. Did a little each week. We realize now this is probably a second job for them. At the end of the job, when they finally finished after a few weeks, they left us with wood flooring that didn't match and wasn't even finished. The flooring had been sanded and one coat of stain was applied. When I explained via e-mail that the color wasn't a match, he followed up with me by telling me I would have to find another contractor to do our other projects. Any further attempts to contact him have been ignored. We are left with a new alcove in our den that in no way matches the rest of the room. Irregardless of the color, the texture is completely different, b/c they didn't bother to seal the wood. It is rough b/c it was just sanded. I will need to hire someone to re-do the floor. So, any money we thought we were saving by hiring them is lost. Ironically, the last day that Tony showed up (he did not come on the actual last day of work. He sent another worker) he asked for payment and said that he would obviously be back to finish because he wanted our business for the kitchen and bathroom. The job was never completed and he never came back.
