Paul was fantastic.  Very responsive, provided good suggestions as to how we should go about the replacement, and he and his team performed the work in one day with excellent craftsmanship.  I would definitely use him again.

Paul is great, he was on site all the time during the basement work, he actually did the work! he is very professional and friendly.  They had to raise some beams in the basement, create support with cement and add pillars. The job was done in several days. The problem was that the weather was against us and it had to be delayed few times.

The reason why I am not giving A in all categories is because I felt that he could have handle the rescheduling process a bit better, there were some days when I was not sure if he was going to come or not and it made me cancel appointments and classes unnecessarily . The work was done and the wall that needed to be repaired came out great! I would totally use their services in the future.

MRJ Builders has done a lot of work on my house in the past and everything has gone really well. They did a great  job. I think the price was fair. I was in a jam with the leaking window and he got everything done quickly and before it started getting cold.

When I first found Paul through Angies list I found him to be calm ,reassuring, and pleasant. We were a team from the beginning to end . We discussed every little detail and he built it accordingly. There was mutual respect and trust ,which is crucial in any business. Even when i wanted it changed after we agreed he would go along. Even after sandy he made time ,when he is busy ,by working nights and weekends. He is a hard worker who loves his job. I call him the God father for my building. he really made it happen. I am very pleased with his work. I know I am going to hire him again and I strongly recommend him for any one.

Things went generally well.  The quality of work was better than expected in all facets of the project.  After the project was completed (mind you it took almost eight months)  there were a few minor issues that were addressed promptly.  One problem that was not fixed was a drainage problem with the roof.  Water was flowing from the roof down behind the gutter, not into the gutter.  I asked the owner, Paul Jaworski to look at it, which he did promptly.  He said he didn't see anything that would make this happen and that he would have his roof company look at it.  They never showed up.  Paul then came by for a second look and still could find no reason this would happen.  He said I should get a hold of the architect who drew up the plans.  (at this point I was getting annoyed)  I took it upon myself to call "My Roof and Gutter Man" a company I had used in the past to have a look.  Tommy Kelly, the owner of My Roof and gutter man climbed up on the roof and just shook his head.  The tar between the roof and gutter had cracked.  By now, water had started to leak into my new bathroom.  I told Paul I had taken the liberty of asking somebody else to look at the problem and told me he needed a detailed explanation in writing in that Mr. Kelly wanted $275 dollars to fix the problem and after taking pictures (I was not about to go on the roof myself) I told him to fix the problem.  Mr. Kelly said that he was totally surprised that Paul didn't see this! He said Paul did see this but wasn't telling me the extent of the problem.  After seeing the pictures, I decided to have Mr. Kelly fix the roof.  No leaks since. I have since tried to contact Paul of MRJ for my $275 as well as address a problem with my new back door leaking (another problem I asked on more than one occasion to be fixed) via e-mail as well as a letter delivered by FEDEX with no response.  I had earlier referred him to a couple people I know for estimates on their homes in that at that time, I was overall pleased with my MRJ experience.  He went to their homes for estimates but never got back to either of them with quotes.  In light of all this, I ask that Angies' List place MRJ Builders in the penalty box.  My warranty has expired but my initial attempts to contact Paul were done while the warranty was good.

We had the owner of the company come out and give us an estimate.  We felt comfortable with going forward with MRJ based on his confidence and portfolio.  He also recommended a painter (not on Angie's list) who we used to paint the entire interior of our home and were very pleased with.  MRJ and the painters coordinated their work very well to complete the project.  The construction project lasted longer than initially anticipated (one and a half months as opposed to the one month quote we were given).  There were a few instances where we were not satisfied with the work product but MRJ worked swiftly to correct, no questions asked.  We found them to be very responsive and honest.

The work was all accomplished on schedule, or as close as you ever get to the original completion date, just as requested, and of superior quality.  He recommended a new countertop and sink during the work, and took the time to bring us in his van to select, and truck the parts back at no extra charge!  In addition, he lined up the upper cabinet doors, helped us with a kitchen cart we had almost assembled and carted away a bulk item left by the previous home owner, at no significant change to the original estimate.    There was a week's delay because we found out, in process, that the main water valves for the condo building had to be shut off, but the contractor took it in stride.  We highly recommend MRJ Builders, Inc.

They are returning to do some more work for me in a month. My only question was that Paul wasn't clear as to the start time, so I wasn't sure what time they were supposed to begin working. They were here at 9:40am, which was great. Fantastic work for a *very* reasonable price by a great guy who cares about whether or not his customers are happy with what he's done. I highly recommend this company.

His original estimate was $6500, but $5200 was his cost and the rest was split between the electrician, the tile guy and plumbing. I had anther $2000, in electrical and plumbing expenses. He is very good at problem solving and his quality is great. Timing isn't the best because of other contracts he had to do. Towards the end I had to keep on them to finish the job. My family has used him for various other jobs and I would continue to use him and recommend his services.
