This was by far the best grooming service that my dog has ever received. I could not have been happier with the cut he had given my dog. He did everything I had asked him to do. It was also the first time my dog was not upset after grooming. I felt very comfortable leaving my dog with him and I will definitely utilize his service again.

I was trying to find a last minute groomer for my dogs before moving into a new house. After calling around locally I found Le French Groomer. I wasn't able to get in when I wanted but that was my fault for not planning ahead and doing this last minute. He was stil able to get my dogs in within a few days and before anyone one else could.
When we arrived since it is appt only you had to ring the bell to be let in. Once inside the shop is extremely clean and fresh. He was very professional. Instead of the normal drop and go I've experienced in other places he spent some time asking questions about the puppies and interacting with them. Since it was our first time there, there were the usual questions about the dogs and contact info. Once that was over he asked more about the dogs and there previous grooming experiences and interacted with each puppy separately. He truly showed a caring for animals. This was nice to see because grooming can be a traumatic experience for some dogs. After interacting with the dogs and getting them comfortable he took them back one by one to the grooming area.
I don't remeber getting any pricing before hand, but I never asked for any either. We were told it would be a few hours and I'd get a call in the afternoon when they were ready to be picked up. This wasn't a problem for me personally (3 dogs take a while and I needed to run errands). We got a phone call later in the day and upon arrival to pick them up they were all clean, fresh, and happy. The two smaller dogs had matted hair that we needed him to trim up. They looked amazing afterwards. Dropped off as hairy messes and came back trimmed and beautiful. The Shiba is a shedder and her coat looked desheded and refreshed aftwards. All there little nails were trimmed and smooth.
All in all the experience was pleasant. He was professional and polite. I will definately use Le French Groomer again. I have also recommended them to friends and family.

I am a physical therapist for animals and often refer and quot;special needsand quot; dogs to Eric, due to his vast experience and willingness to adapt to difficult cases. There is nothing he can't handle! He has a special way with dogs and they love him. I also use him to groom my dog and he is so gentle and caring!

Eric is the first groomer who could actually groom my dog - great job with the grooming, great facility, and I feel good leaving my dog with Eric - can't say enough! I've owned Ozzie for a couple of years now - got him from the SPCA, and I don't think he was ever groomed as a puppy because he HATES it! I had taken him to four other groomers before I found Eric. Ozzie gets very upset when you try to touch his ears or paws, and expresses this by growling and biting if you don't know what you're doing. Other groomers either could not clean his ears, could not clean/trim his paws, could not clean either ears or paws, or else were doing something that caused Ozzie to shake with fear upon returning for another groom - so we had to find a new place. On our first visit, Eric sat calmly with Oz on his lap and gently petted him as he explained to me what he planned to do - how short he planned to trim Ozzie, how he would pluck the hair from the ears (a new thing for Oz), etc. - and I was amazed to see that he was actually playing with Ozzie's ears as he was talking, and Ozzie didn't seem to mind! Even so, my experience with groomers left me doubting how Eric would actually do. I should not have worried. When I came to get Ozzie later that day, he was completely groomed AND amazingly calm - took treats from Eric, helped himself to a drink of water, and then settled on a dog hammock in the corner while I took care of the bill. I don't know how Eric does it, but he is somehow able to give my neurotic dog a full groom without terrorizing him in the process. Eric has groomed Ozzie twice now, with amazing results both times, and I have just booked a third appointment (which is what reminded me to write this review!). Eric told me that over half of the dogs he grooms regularly have been "rejected" from other groomers, so it seems it's not just Ozzie who's had problems.Pricing is fine for this area - Eric charges me $60 for Ozzie, which is about what I have paid other groomers. Ozzie is a 24 pound shih tzu, which is quite large for the breed (perhaps there's something else in there!), and he 's somehow always filthy so there's some work involved with grooming him. Things to know: Make appointments by phone. The front door is locked since Eric only sees dogs by appointment and is often alone in the back, working with a dog, so you can't just walk in. Eric either answers right away or calls you back shortly. There are a few dedicated parking spots behind The French Groomer so you can always get a spot.
