My front porch had settled over time and sunk-in causing the rainwater to drain along my foundation.
Mr. Paternoster and his crew had to completely tear down and remove the entire porch and steps and rebuild the front porch from the foundation up.
We had been in-touch for a few weeks leading up to the project. I had to coordinate the scheduling as I had other contractors working on my home and Mr. Paternoster had to consider the weather forecasts; I was not pressed for time so it all worked our perfectly.
They did a wonderful job and match the brick steps to my chimney.
While they were working on the porch I showed Mr. Paternoster a portion of my walkway in the back of my house that had also settled, it pitched towards the foundation and would ultimately cause damage to my basement and foundation. He quoted me a price to repair it and started the project the very next day.
While working at my property I was impressed by how (at the end of each workday) they'd clean-up the entire area and inconspicuously store their machinery and supplies neatly in the corner of my driveway. The crew was very professional and polite.
My overall experience was positive, my porch and walkway look wonderful -their work was excellent and I'd highly recommend them.
"in response to the members comments. i told him i would take a look at his repairs to both front and rear stoops when i got to his neighbor's job across the street figuring on doing them both at once. the intitial phone call was just talk about repairing the stoops then when i got there they showed me the crack in the concrete walk which i had poured the year before.i did tell them that there isn't really anything that you could do with a hairline crack which probably occurred because of the very harsh winter that we had. what was never mentioned in his review was the fact that it is a very very hairline crack that you really can't do anything with. the sidewalk did not settle or anything like that and was certainly not a safety issue. the stoops, i was just going to point up after they power washed them, but they called me and said the power washer was either broken or just not working so i wasn't going to point up the stoops if they weren't washed off because the cement would certainly not bond to the existing mortar. the price for pointing up both stoops was less than $100.00. so i was just really doing him a favor while in the area. besides, for someone to give you a call a 2nd time for another project tells me that he honestly knows the crack that appeared was nothing that i did wrong. he called me one last time, not to tell me that they had power washed but that if he didn't hear from me in 4-5 days, he'd assume i wasn't coming. again, if the message that he had left stated that they had power washed i would have scheduled the pointing up for them. note: in regards to the Hairline crack, if you think that the freeze and thaw of this winter did not any affect anything just take a glimpse at the roads you are driving on today."
