Both of my rear tires were worn. One of them had a nail in it. I went to several local auto service centers for prices and Mr. Tire offered the best deal. They were very patient in helping me select tires that I would be happy with (Dunlop SP Sport Signature). The tires had to be ordered, but they arrived the next day. I made an appointment to have them installed during my lunch break, and they took care of me as soon as I arrived, with no waiting. They even followed up with me to make sure that I was satisfied, and then called me to address my minor concerns with the age of the tires.
I was very satisfied, and I will now consider using Mr. Tire for mechanical work as well.

They treated us well. The guy was really nice, he let his guys check my mother's car, and told us that it was her transmission; it was an old car. They spent a half hour checking the car out and he didn't charge us a penny. He let us sit there until our ride arrived. He was really an excellent person. He was very upfront and honest. He told us what it would cost us for a new transmission. He gave us a cup of coffee and made us sit down in his lounge. They were really nice. I couldn't complain about anybody there. It was a Saturday and they had a busy schedule but they took the time to look at the car.

They used to be called Vespia and I've used them before. I came in today to get a doughnut tire (spare) replaced. At first he quoted me one price. I had to have my rim purchased from the dealer because it and the mechanism rusted out. (It hangs underneath the van.) The guy realized it was just the doughnut/spare and found a used one and it only cost me $30. Since the cable hanging beneath my car that would drop and pull up the wheel was frozen/rusted, he cut it off for me.I paid in cash. As a business person, I know it costs him 2% for credit cards, so I told him I'd save him the money. I recognized the guy. I don't know what the story was with the ownership/name change, but they did me a favor, so I did him one.

The repair was to replace a worn out fuel gasket and it was completed with relative satisfaction. There was a need for a follow up visit to correct some rough idling. The main issue was that during this work, the car's air conditioning system was made inoperable (only blowing hot air). Prior to the valve gasket work, the air conditioning system worked fine and had no problems. There was absolutely no acknowledgment of responsibility. The only offer to remedy the situation was to inspect and repair the system at full cost. The service technicians were highly defensive and very "suspicious" in their explanations on the coincidental nature of why this new problem arose. The service center appears to be falling on hard times--help wanted signs abound, very slow business--and it is my assumption that this was a ploy to milk more money out of their clients.
