K9 Bug Detectors

Bob is awesome and won't go anywhere else. We had a BB issue several years ago (day after Hurricane Irene when it was virtually impossible to travel anywhere) and Bob came right away with his dog. We we're concerned we might have had a problem again and called Bob yesterday. He showed up that SAME DAY and gave us the free and clear. Can't ask for better service. Thanks Bob and Bruno!

Provider finally exterminated the bed bugs, after several times of not showing up or note showing up on time.  He never did return for the analysis he was supposed to do on the outside insects and removal.  He was pleasant but not reliable.  I would not use him again.  Also, the analysis was part of the big deal so had been paid for and he never delivered on it.t

It went fine and then he had to do the treatment part and... I thought it was very expensive but it was what it was. They charged me a lot more than the initial. They were out the next day. They got rid of the problem.  Unfortunately his dog got sick, at some point it got hurt, he was supposed to come out to me and I actually made a trip to make sure that I was there and he never called or anything. Then after that he did solve the problem. He was a nice guy. I felt comfortable with him in the house. The initial thing, I felt was a good price with just the Angie's List. I think the price that he charged after was a little high. In the end though, for the other 2 visits, the first visit cost 140 something dollars and then the other two visits cost me over $200 each. I thought that that was kind of, how come?  That was my only thing. I had never used Angie's List before but it sort of made me a little weary in terms of  using Angie's List again. I would probably lean towards using Angie's List more for something that was a one shot Deal and I knew the price and that was the end of it as opposed to then having to do more and getting another price. It is nice that they came for the inspection and whatever but I think it would have been nice to know upfront if there were other choices or whatever, what the treatment aspect was going to be and   what that was going to cost.  It took me by surprise and then in terms of, like part of it was also doing some exterminating outside in yard and stuff like that. He did that but part of the problem still continues outside however, I was not going to call him again to come and do more. I might for bedbugs not for general exterminating.  He did great with the bedbugs, didn't do great with the outside exterminating. When he actually came, he came at the time he said he was going to come.  That was good, in fact he was early.

Bobby from K9 Bug Detectors did a great job getting rid of our bed bug problem.  We had a 3 room bug problem and I was very concerned after reading about how hard it is to get rid of bed bugs but after working with Bobby, I knew he will not leave until they were all gone.  Make no mistake about it, living with the cleanup process is no picnic but Bobby was super great to work with and I truly felt he was helping us not just for the money but because he wants to see us through this problem.

There are 2 key difference K9 has over the other places I looked into.  1.  He will not leave until the problem is solved.  2.  He checks with the dogs where the bugs are and only treats the problem area's.  This last one made the cleanup process much easier because we didn't have to wash and dry every thing in every room.  The first point was key because I knew this problem will be solved and life will get back to normal at some point.

I would hire K9 again and actually will be bring him back for a checkup as well as an external extermination of the house (his current special).  I learned two things from this ordeal.   One, its better to hire a professional and you know the issue will be taken care of and 2; Get it taken care of early to reduce the costs.

During a hotel stay in early October I had been bitten but had never actually seen a bug. I was terrified that the bugs had come home with me and unable to relax. I purchased a K9 Bug Detector deal  which included an inspection for bedbugs as well as an interior & exterior treatment. Bobby and his German Shepherd, Jack, thoroughly inspected my home and belongings and found no bedbugs. He did find signs of other insects invading from outside, which is normal in the fall. As I am asthmatic and somewhat paranoid about chemical contamination, Bobby treated my home, inside & out with a drying agent he guaranteed would not affect my lungs, which it did not, but I've seen no more bugs of any kind. I am overjoyed to have found a service that could answer all my insect questions and let me enjoy my home again. Thank you Bobby for restoring my peace of mind!

The dog was fabulous.  Bob had him sneeze then search.  Thank goodness nothing was found.   Bob made other recommendations for irradiation of any other potential problem. 
Bob knew his business.

Bob came and was responsive the first visits. however, he's had "emergencies" that have twice caused him to cancel our appointment on short notice. The last one was Saturday, June 28th. He was supposed to come to my house between 9 and 10 but cancelled at 5:41AM saying that he'd have to reschedule since then he's not responded to 2 text messages and one recently made phone call today, Monday.
I got bit something like 10 times, then no bites. Then I got bit again similarly and called K-9. He came with the dog. He treated around my bed and the bedroom above it. He also treated around my sofa.  Some days later I got bit some more and he came back and did the same treatment. Some days later I got bit again. He came back and used liquid CO2. A week later, I'm getting bit again.
It's definitely a minor infestation. Only one has ever been found and that was by me. I saved it and showed it to him. It was indeed a bedbug. We've never been able to find any evidence of others, but the bites prove they're there. Then he says he thinks they might be mites. Huh? Never heard of that before and we've not found those either. But I'm very allergic to bedbugs. The bites swell a lot and itch terribly. They're often in groups. These are bedbug bites.
So I've wasted $1,045 with K-9 and I'm now calling Horizon. They efficiently eradicated a severe cockroach infestation when I bought the house. Haven't seen one since. I'll give them a crack at the bedbugs. Probably spend a lot more than $1,000.
All those people that only spend $129, or similar amounts, but are happy did not get a treatment. That's just the dog. The treatments cost $250 per room so I don't understand what it is they're satisfied with.
While writing this review Bob responded to my phone call with "Not sure 4 tomorrow what time." I certainly don't know.
