All went well once the job started; it required nearly a complete rebuild of the internal structure, and new treads-- not patching of the stairs. The result was great until a few weeks after the job was completed. We noticed cracks at two points where there were holes drilled to attach the railing. The cracks are getting longer and wider. And a crack now has developed on the outside surface that has been painted.
We started calling Ralph soon after we noticed the cracks; there was no response for about 6 weeks. Then he called and said he would be coming by to check it out. If he did come by, we are not aware. There was no follow up call, and again no response.
Now the weather is such that whatever could have easily been done to resolve this issue is not possible.
It's really a shame as the stairs are good looking.
