A Quick Cut Landscaping

The yard was cleaned as we discussed. It looked like a brand new yard after the guys got rid of the debri, leaves, and trimmed all of the hedges.

Have to do an updated review here because of how badly things turned out.

I will spare you the details, but suffice to say that this guy is no good. He charged me for things that he never did. He did a completely shoddy job installing a completely crappy sprinkler system that never worked and was installed incorrectly.  I have to have the entire thing compeltely replaced he did such a crap job. A total rip off. Lastly, he harrassed me, my wife and my daughter with  harrassing phone calls, emails and texts, some of which were   threatening in nature.

He also charged me for things that he never did. In one section of the yard that I previously had covered with landscape fabric and mulch, he suggested pulling up the landscape fabric, putting down topsoil and planting grass.  Well it turns out he never pulled up the landscape fabric, and as a result there are now multiple bald spots in the "lawn".  He also installed a "sprinkler system" that was a complete rip off.  It never worked from day one. i just called in a qualified irrigation specialist who confirmed that it was "home depot" special that wasn't even installed correctly. The last straw with this guy was that one time I was a few days late making a payment because I was on vacation , and he proceeded to harrass me, my wife, and my daughter, with harrassing telephone calls and emails. He texted me over 20 times in a 10 minute period, and called my house repeatedly, like 10 times in a half hour, because I was late like 4 days on a $200 payment?? Crazy and scary. Lastly, he charged me for lawn chemicals that he never put down.

I added two dates when I purchased the deal and they informed me that they could not accommodate those dates. I gave them a third date of the 24th and they said they could accommodate that date. We had an appointment with him to look over the yard and he never showed up. I called the office and they called him, he apologized and rescheduled for Wednesday, which he let me know he came out, but I was not sure if he went to the correct property at that time, due to what issues he was addressing. He came back out to look at the property again while my wife was home . He told my wife he could come out on the 18th instead and I called and confirmed this date. Yesterday, he never showed up or called to cancel or reschedule. I was trying to get this done before Thanksgiving.

I chose A Quick Cut because of a special they were running on Angie's List, which was a good deal.  When I explained the job to Jim, he informed me a) the price on the special was wrong, but that Angie's List had not yet corrected it, but b) he would honor it.  However, he did say that the scope of the work would be longer than the four hours included in the special offer, so the price would be higher.  All in all, the price was fair, the work was done well and I would definitely use the service again.  
The only complaints were delays in starting times (a phone call explaining the problem would have been appreciated) and two small jobs that were not completed as promised.  The owner did return to personally finish the jobs, so all in all, a job well done.

The job went very smooth. No issues and all the work discussed was performed.

He was unable to come when I spoke to him. The prior landscaping folks put down some straw and he told me he couldn't do the work because of that.

rLeaves had fallen everywhere. We had called many providers before we found Quick Cut on Angies List. Jim responded quickly, personally, and professionally. We were given an estimate and he stayed closely to the agreed to amount. After Hurricane Sandy, he returned, cleaning the remaining leaves and debris. Due to the many trees surrounding our property, there was a ton of "stuff" and we very, very satisfied with the superb clearing job. We will definitely continue to use Jim and A Quick Cut Landscaping. In fact, one of our neighbor's was so impressed with the job Jim had done with our property, she immediately hired him.

It’s been a very good experience working with them. I like them and they do good work. They are very reliable.
