About us
My name is Stuart Eric Mooney. I am addressed by any version of that. The best way to get me is via text or phone call. I am rarely online. I do not charge for estimates. I have been in the business of helping people make their dream homes true since 1992. I still work with a lot of customers, and have been maintaining and remodeling their homes since then. I have a small team that I work with on every job. Once I start a job, I am present every day until completion. We design and build anything from decks, kitchens, baths and paint schemes. We are exterior deck stain specialists. I am capable of most home repair including windows, doors, wall patching, electrical and plumbing ( such as sink installation or ceiling fans). I also have a team of licensed electricians and plumbers for when certificates are required for permits, who have been treating my customers fairly and working with me for twenty plus years. I also have flooring refinishers and installers, if for some reason I choose not to do it. I also have roof and gutter guys. We would love to help with any or all of your needs. Not only did Mr. Mooney arrive exactly on time, but he assessed the job quickly, provided low/high (repair vs. replace) cost options and guided me through my decision-making process! Helped me out a lot for a fair price! Will hire for future repairs to my investment property! Eric does excellent workmanship on anything that he's working on. I have five rooms and a hall that needed to be plastered and painted. Eric did a great job. he painted my kids room two-tone colors that they wanted. The kids and I loved it. He also replaced a light fixture with a better one in one of the rooms. He had done other work for in the past, such as build platform for washer and dryer, plumming, and electrical. I would recommend him to anyone who need work done, you won't be disappointed.

We called Your Home's Best Friend originally for a ceiling repair after an upstairs bathroom leak. But as soon as Eric walked in the door, his extensive knowledge about home repair/improvement was evident and we ended up hiring him for a number of things that had been on the "to-do" list or "wish list" of our older home for many years. He repaired and painted walls and doors, hung a ceiling fan, replaced a bathroom faucet, repaired a compromised area of another (plaster) ceiling, and repaired a kitchen drawer that had been unusable for months. His professionalism, meticulousness and talent shone through in every completed task in our home and we cannot recommend him highly enough. (We have already enlisted him ourselves for a kitchen remodel.)

Stuart and Kim both did an outstanding job at an amazing price. Stuart is an absolute whiz at what he does, truly the "perfectionist" he describes himself to be. He never relents until every task he is given is completed perfectly. Throughout his service, he consistently went above and beyond everything I asked him to do and would constantly look around the house for problem areas and advise me on how to improve them. He was also punctual, professional, and very accommodating when I needed to reschedule my service appointment. Kim also provided valuable assistance and went several times to the nearby hardware store to pickup the necessary parts, helping Stuart along the way with a gracious, courteous, and friendly demeanor. There is no doubt in my mind that if I ever needed a bunch of repairs around my house in the future that they would be the first number to call. I simply couldn't ask for a better combination of great quality work at such an affordable price, complete with happy, smiling faces from people who genuinely love and care about what they do.
