They are very helpful and I recommend this online class. I have a sail boat and I can’t take anybody as a paying passenger unless I am licensed. I have a year to take all the classes, quizzes and tests online. Once I have accomplished all that, then I can take a proper exam just like taking a college admission test. I cannot take people out and charge money if I don’t have a certain kind of license from the coastguard. To get the license, I have to do more than just mail them a check and application. I have to take tests and prove that I am not going to kill people because I don’t know the difference between the mull and stern of a boat. This is a way to study; instead of going to the local community college and taking the class, I take an online class. I have been living in the library because the Wi-Fi is free and there are a lot of lectures.  I am wrapping it out now and I am taking the test on the 28th. There are four online final exams that I have to complete before they will let me take the proctored test, which is the one where they have a guy looking so that there’s no cheating. The price is a little steep; but I save time by not having to take the car and go somewhere. They provide me with materials and books which will come in handy later. They offer a sailing certification just for sailboats and I might have that later, and use them again.
