BETTER ROOFS

Initially everything was fine. As far as I can remember, they showed up on time and the completed the work, although I seem to recall having to ask them to fix something minor, which they did. A couple of years later the roof started leaking. We called them and they applied some caulk. A few weeks ago it started leaking again -- this time very badly. We brought in an independent contractor who said that the ice shield had not been installed. We asked Better Roofs to pay for the damages to our property and the cost of the contractor who fixed the problem. Total charges were modest since we were home at the time of the storm and were able to protect our home contents from damage. They refused, even though we supposedly had a 10 yr warranty on labor and 30 yr on material. When they showed up to look at the damage (before 8AM without an appointment, although I asked them to call and schedule a time to stop by) they started screaming at us before they even saw the problem. They refused to even look at the paperwork provided by the contractor that stated that the installation had been improper. (The ice shield was missing in the section of the roof that was leaking. Apparently caulk is not enough to fix this.) I will never use them again and filed a claim against them with their insurance carrier for negligence resulting in damages to my property.

THEY WERE VERY EFFICIENT. THE PRICES WERE GREAT. THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND THEY DID A GOOD JOB. THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORKMANSHIP WAS OUTSTANDING.
