I went for a series of physical therapy sessions for a pulled hamstring. The interesting aspect of this facility is its novel equipment that can provide partial support of the body in various positions so that you can exercise various muscles. The treatments worked very well (allowing me back on the tennis courts in a month). I particularly appreciated the fact that one of the employees (I think her name was Francine, although my wife thought it was Francis) went to great length to explain which muscles were involved in various movements I might make and how I could exercise at home to improve issues like balance control. The two people that I believe were the principles in the operation were somewhat less communicative and, had I worked only with Francine(?) I would have given the Nerac Institute an "A" rating. My wife was also going there for a back problem, working with Ian, and was much less happy than I.
Description of Work: Great staff and equipment

I had about 10 appointments and they helped enormously. What I found particularly useful in this series of treatments was that one of the therapists told me a lot of information about the other muscles that could affect the problem and suggested exercises that I could do at home to work on those muscles (the down side of this form of physical therapy is that most of us cant have that sort of equipment at home - although there are a couple of small units for sale which require fastening something strongly to the ceiling).
Description of Work: I was referred to this group by my doctor after he diagnosed a pulled hamstring (that had been slowly getting more painful over time, and finally stopped me paying tennis). This group uses a technique that appears to be relatively new to the US and I found to be very beneficial. They use a frame with "cradles" - in some cases supported by shock cords to provide only partial support, so that your body can be put in a position to exercise specific muscles (the shock cords also make it possible for anyone to exercise those muscles, regardless of strength). For the pulled hamstring this was particularly useful since it does not seem to be easy to do exercises for just that muscle.
