+ 0 moreHis price was the lowest of the 4 quotes I received but his work was of the highest quality. He worked with me & my designer to create the perfect piece & really listened to my needs and taste. He made excellent suggestions along the way & tweaked the design as needed. He is highly responsive to phone calls & texts & sent photos and stain samples immediately when asked. Rich was very punctual for meetings and when showing up for the job itself. The cabinet is the focal point of the room & exceeded our expectations. Rich is a true craftsman & I can't wait to work with him again.
Description of Work: I hired Rich Baker of Bakersfield Carpentry to design & build a 12 foot long custom dresser/cabinet to store all of our clothing in the master bedroom.

Description of Work: Rich Baker has been doing carpentry work in my home on and off for years. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about him! He is a consummate professional, he is meticulous, efficient, punctual, and a pleasure to have in my home. As a client, I can be very difficult, doing many projects at once. He has accommodated my many requests with great patience and I have always been met with a smile. He works quickly and does not want to waste his time or yours. I have found over the years many people in this profession lack dignity and integrity. He has displayed both a multitude of times. I highly recommend his services and can assure you you're experience will be similar to mine.

+ -1 moreEverything was fine, they were really good and they all did a good job. They were very reliable, very nice, very clean and whatever problems they come against, they solved them and everything went smoothly. They were great.
Description of Work: Bakersfield Carpentry replaced some doors for us and they have to replace the door frame, it was rotted, they had to rebuild the door frame before they actually put the door in. They were subcontractors of Home Depot so it was in the charge of Home Depot.

+ -1 moreI had contacted 5 to 10 people to do this job and nobody would. Rich said he could, and not only did it for a reasonable price, he did an outstanding job and was honest from the point he walked in the door. We are so happy with the work!
Description of Work: We could not find anybody to build out our bedroom set, nobody would do it. Not only did Rich do it, he did an awesome job!! I just wish I had more projects for him, as the work was just amazing! Thanks so much Rich!!

Description of Work: Rich Baker built a paneled enclosure for an air conditioning duct. It had to match the existing paneling.

+ 3 moreOur experience for both pieces was fantastic. Rich Baker is a consummate professional who is very easy to work with. He patiently listened to all of our ideas about the projects, interjected his own, very helpful, opinions and made the process of bringing our concept sketches to reality a genuine delight. For the fireplace mantel, he went over all the installation procedures and took responsibility for making sure that everything was up to code. The cabinetry itself was built beautifully and we were involved every step of the way to make sure that we would be happy with the outcome. Very highly recommended to anyone who needs any kind of custom carpentry.
Description of Work: We had two pieces of furniture built, the first was a mantel and cabinetry around a fireplace, the second was a dining room cabinet. The date and cost specified was for the second piece.
