"Thank you for the great review, Sandra. Enjoy your floors and the best to you and your family."
"I'm sorry the client feels the way she does. I have never received a complaint from her. If the finishing was bad we would have corrected it. I get the feeling this customer feels she paid too much for the amount of time we spent at her house. All pricing is given in writing before we start a job. There are never price surprises at Bob Sidoti Floors. My so called minority workers are skilled professional mechanics and are presently Americas Work Force!"
"This is the most ridiculous review of all because we didn't perform any service for this person. I have been in the flooring business for 30 years. I don't visit every job. Water damaged flooring sometimes sands out beautifully, requiring no additional repairing or additional cost. If the client would have followed our protocol he would have witnessed it. If after we sanded the floors there was still a need for board replacement we would have addressed it then. Even if I would have visited the site, I could not have given the client 100% accurate information until we first sanded it. It sounds like I would have been better off telling this customer he was right...and just replaced the wood at a higher cost. No win scenario."
"I apologize for the inconvenience to the member, but the work the member described as needed done is outside of the scope of our business. We specialize in hardwood flooring refinishing and restoration, and the member’s job sounded like they needed structural repair from a carpenter or general contractor, which we do not do."
"Thank you very much for the business opportunity. I'm glad you are happy with your floors and that we have earned your referral."
"Hi member...Thank you for the vote of confidence! I remember you mentioning the stain dripped through your floor. It probably was the finish and not the stain. The stain is applied with rags so the floor is not flooded. The finish however goes on heavy and can seep through when the sub floor condition has deteriorated. There is really nothing we can do to detect or prevent this because we can't see the sub floor. We typically bag all debris and would prefer to leave at the curb for garbage collection. In some towns, they issue tickets if you put garbage out early so we leave it in a convenient place out of your way. For us to haul it away to a dump would only result in a higher cost to you and is the reason we do it this way. I appreciate your report and will make sure all debris is bagged neatly in the future. Thanks again for the business opportunity. I hope we earned your referral. Bob Sidoti"

"In response to the complaint I answer as follows: 1. Soiled base molding is not from negligence, but from the nature of the work. When we sand the edges (perimeter of the room) the machine rubs up against the base molding. It's the only way we can get right up to it. The machine is stainless steel and leave a mark on the paint. Also, when we are staining; we first use a brush and very carefully cut in. But when the excess stain is removed with rags, they become soiled and also rub up against the painted molding leaving a residue to stain behind. It can't be avoided and is why we recommend doing the floors prior to painting. In spite o f the manufactures claim the tape sometimes removes the paint when pulled of the molding, resulting in a liability for us. All of this information is available on our website. All our customers are directed to use it to self educate themselves in the processes and products available in the floor refinishing industry. All contact is made through the website so I know the customer has the information available to them to avoid potential problems. 2.When the customer complained the 1st time, i ordered my men to do it again, site unseen to make him happy. Upon the 2nd complaint i personally inspected and found the work to be performed properly. I advised the customer that he was expecting too much and that i could not make the floor look like a factory pre-finished floor. I pointed our the same issue on his wood railing stained by his painted; the customer did acknowledge. I advised that with time, oxidation would remedy his problem, and the customer agrees. The customer then changed his mind and wants the floor refinished. I don't believe i can make this customer happy. 3. The day the work was to commence we arrived on time as promised. Because we nearly never need to redo our work. Time is not allotted the next day for a previous day's job; so it affects our schedule. We still managed to return the next day to the customer's house in a reasonable timely manor to finish. 4. Again every effort was made to perform all work properly. I personally inspected the floor and found it to be satisfactory. Nothing is 100 percent. Upon my explanation the customer was satisfied and did conclude business with me: we departed friends. Angie's List is a great tool for homeowners and a great vehicle for contractors to prove their worth. However, and NOT in this particular case; there is opportunity for opportunists to use the service as a means to pressure contractors for unjust settlements."
