Dun Rite Heating and Cooling

Pete is an owner operator who is on time through and probably too fair with his prices. If you are looking for a clean, affordable, professional experience Dun Rite is the place you are looking for. Pete installed a new heat pump system into my attic to cover the attic and second floor and it is working flawlessly. His quote was over 10k less than the big companies and he was onsite himself for the whole job. I cannot recommend Dun Rite highly enough.

Pete was a pleasure to work with. He has a confidence that is backed up with extensive knowledge of A/C and heating systems. We needed a new A/C system, and also boiler repairs and installation of new and improved Honeywell T9 Smart WiFi Thermostats. We had a persistent problem of having a 2 zone heating system yet working on one zone. Pete tackled this difficult problem with confidence and tenacity. I would certainly highly recommend him to anyone looking for an honest, hardworking and dedicated professional such as Pete.

Peter was extremely knowledgeable and professional. For sure one of the best contractors I ever worked with. Out of three estimates I got, Peter estimate, together with his explanations and reasons why and what models/equipment/vendor he was recommending were the most logical, cost effective, and made perfect sense to me. My husband and I recently purchased a home and realized we had issues with our central air during a heat wave. We received estimates from approximately 5 different companies but we went with Dun Rite for a few different reasons - 1) We worked with Pete from Dun Rite and he was such a nice and respectful human being unlike some of the other companies he was pleasant. the customer service is impeccable. 2) he didn't rush with explaining the issues he found with the system. He truly wanted us to understand. 3) he wasn't trying to overcharge us with items we didn't need unlike some of the other companies we received quotes for. we signed the contract with the quote and contacted our AC warranty company. Dun Rite was going to get paid regardless but we wanted to see if the warranty company would help with any of the payment. Pete also helped us fight the warranty company to partially pay for some of the work. He was fighting for it even more than we were! what other company would do that for you?!?!?! Based on those factors we hired Dun Rite for our AC and ducts. The team was prompt and only took a work day and 2 hours to put in a whole new AC unit and ducts and discard of the old unit! When they worked in the house the team wasn't overly loud and they left the house super clean. After the work was done I realized Dun Rite was the same company that worked on my parents house 10 years ago and my parents praised their work then as well. this shows their standards have not dropped and they are consistent. I highly recommend Dun Rite without any reservations.

Peter was awesome. He replaced both my heating and cooling components and explained step by step what the work entailed, provided additional details on how the HVAC system works and what to do to take preventative maintenance measures so the system runs more efficiently and lasts longer.. He even corrected errors from the previous contractor at no extra cost and he was the most economical quote I received to begin with. Would absolutely recommend him for any of your HVAC needs.

A++++ Peter is a superstar and his crews are hardworking, courteous and respectful. They moved quickly to remove an old central A/C unit and installed 4 new ecobee thermostats and explained exactly how the process would go. He is so honest and competent and with a ten year labor warranty that his company provides, you'd be crazy to go with someone else. He also was very responsive and extremely fair in pricing, timing and providing his licenses which I requested. I would and will hire him again for any Central A/C needs. He cares about his work and his customers and it really shows.

Peter and his workers were professional friendly and worked quickly to remove my ductless A C and install the new A C. Peter explained what he could do to cool and heat my rooms more evenly rather than just replace the old system. They were neat and cleaned up when done. Peter made sure I was satisfied with everything. He always answers calls right away and doesn"t leave you wondering about anything. I highly recommend DunRite.

Scope of project: Install two AC units in my house with new duct work. One traditional split system and a ductless mini-split. Background: I am a detailed oriented consumer that does his homework. The selection process I followed before hiring Dun Rite included an investigation of the AC units I wanted to purchase, cost estimates of components the vendor would need for the installation, 3 bid process with reputable vendors, reference checks, and confirmation of insurance coverage. Initial meeting: My initial meeting with Peter went very well. He spent time explaining the best way to approach my project and what his recommendations were to achieve the best results. He is very knowledgeable and confident. He was on time and professional. Pricing: Dun Rites initial pricing was very competitive. To be honest, no other contractor could come close to the pricing offered by Dun Rite for superior quality. Quality: Pete and his team did exceptional work even by my high standards. The work they performed was very impressive. The methods they use to install new ductwork could not compare to any of the other vendors I researched. Peter’s team installed no soffits or disrupted any closets. Larry and Larry, the installers that worked on my project, were very professional and demonstrated exceptional workmanship. Any issues that were discovered during the project were addressed in a timely manner. Comments / Observations: Peter is a very hard worker and takes on many responsibilities in running the business. He moves quickly to insure everything gets done, so you need to keep up. Texting him or calling him is much better than sending an email if you need an immediate response. He is always on the go. I only make or write recommendations for vendors that are exceptional and I can tell you, Dun Rite heating and cooling is one you can trust. I would use them again and recommend them to family and friends.
