Helene met with us the day after we contacted her and gave us the written detailed estimate the next day. Helene quoted a price for the labor, and quoted an estimate for the price for the materials and was very close. The total price for the work involved was reasonable. She and her team were very pleasant. Helene spent extra time to come back on her own volition to be sure that everything was done to her satisfaction. We are happy with the results and would highly recommend her.

I previously submitted a report. We found Helene on Angie's List. Helene did a very nice job painting and we previously gave a very good review. However, we noticed at the end of the original job that it took several phone calls before she came back to touch up a few missed spots we noticed after the job was done (as she said she would do at the time we agreed to use her as our to do our painting job). Nevertheless we overlooked this and gave a good review. A few months later, however, my son had an unauthorized party resulting in pretty significant damage so I called her back to ask if she would take care of the scuffs and dings and also paint a bathroom that was badly marked up. She called back and said she'd arrange a time with my wife to do this but she never got back to us even after two follow up phone calls. This on top of the poor responsiveness from the original painting job has turned us off. As we are trying to finalize a claim with an insurance adjuster it was quite inconvenient that she did not follow through. If she could not or did not want to come back again she should have let us know so we could have found a different painter sooner.

Helene arrived promptly and did the prep work: washed walls, ceiling, taped around woodwork. Primed as needed. We had purchased the paint before hiring her. We bought 3 gallons of paint from the same place at the same time. Turned out, the 3 gallons were different shades. It was very noticeable once it was put on the kitchen walls and ceiling. We needed to buy more paint and this meant another coat of paint for Helene to do. She did so without complaint and did not charge us extra. She also advised on the color for 1st floor hallway ceiling. We thought to paint it the same color as the walls. Helene recommended a lighter color due to the lack of natural light and windows. We followed her recommendation and are very glad we did! It would have been too dark. Helene and her assistant came on the 2nd day and completed the job. IT LOOKS GREAT !! They worked with few breaks and were considerate of our space. Clean-up was effecient and complete. Her fee includes coming back and doing 'touch up' after the kitchen tiling is complete. Let me just start by saying - I LOVE HELENE WINTERS. I found Helene because of Angie's List and in the end it was all of the feedback on Angie's List that made the final decision. Helene is the "hidden gem" is the promise of Angie's List. She is one of those resources that I would never have found on my own without the help of the list. I would recommend Helene Winters without any reservation for any of her services. She shows up on time - does BEAUTIFUL work and is an absolute delight to have on the job site. I am a real estate investor and do both flips and rentals. I have found and excellent resource (and friend) in Helene and I only wish I had enough work to keep her busy full time on my projects. I wouldn't normally even share Helene's name with anyone - BUT - since I found her through Angie's List then it is only fair to give her the excellent feedback that she earned. Helene was extremely prompt in responding to the request for a proposal. Within 24hours, she provided a super detailed quote that included all the items to be painted, number of coats & type of paint to be used on the job. She is a delightful, thourough and skilled craftsperson. Very helpful in selecting colors and sensative to the conditions of the areas to be painted. We had the electrician moving around, installing fixtures while she was working, making her job a little more challanging and Helene was able to roll with the interference without missing a beat. The house looks fantastic! I am super pleased with the outcome! What a professional!

The entire project went extremely well.

It went very well. The painter and helper came on time, worked efficiently, did a very neat and professional job, and cleaned up well afterward. The only exception was a few very small paint spots left on the carpeting, probably the result of not having the carpeting covered thoroughly enough.

Helene and her crew did a great job. It took about week and they showed up punctually every day. They made as little disturbance to the house as possible and cleaned up every evening when they left. They were a cheerful crew and very professional. We had planned to have the place painted all one color but Helene suggested that even though we wanted neutral colors we should paint the walls, ceiling and woodwork different tones. It turned out great. The estimate Helene gave us was very reasonable and considerably less than some others. I highly recommend her.

I would have had more done but she was booked through May. She will be coming back in June to do more work for me. I loved the striping effect and she even offered to repaint it for free if I didn't like it. My cabinets looked brand new after she was finished. I never would have thought of having the special effect done on the walls if she hadn't brought it up and she didn't charge any more for doing this effect. I feel like I have a brand new kitchen. She has worked for me before and each time it is such a wonderful experience. She cleaned up every night, was right on time every day. Do ask for her advice, she has so many great ideas and is wonderful at helping pick colors. She is so honest and actually talked me out of a very costly job. She had a quick fix that was able to make it look just as good.

The service was excellent. I am planning on using this company again for the master bedroom and bath.

Ms. Winters deserves an A+ across the board. She was prompt everyday (3 days). Very professional and one of the sweetest people I've every met. I practically had to beg her to take a break, what a hard worker!! ALL of her work was exceptional. She went above and beyond everything she had promised to do. She was extremely helpful and full of hints to make other projects easier for me. I will never, ever need to look for anyone else to do this kind of work. It was a pleasure having her in my home and I look forward to using her company again. It was also a fantastic to work with a woman who really understands what us women want!
