I hired Scott J. Brown of Retail Renovation and Construction to fabricate and install the windows in my new home. The total cost of the job was $101,000. We signed contracts and Scott had a timeline to follow to install my windows in June. he accepted a $10,000 check as deposit and cashed it. He did not do any of the required work and had disappeared. He does not return calls and has not returned the money. It has been 6 weeks. According to the window manufacturer, he has not ordered anything. Subsequently I learned that he stole $75,000 from a contractor in NY. He did the same thing--took the money, never ordered the windows and stopped returning calls. Scott J. Brown is a crook! Beware and do not hire Retail Renovations and Construction!
