Merry Maids of Pleasantville

They were terrible. It has just been incredibly awful for us. They were very unprofessional. We've been using them for about six or seven months, but we kept having problems with their service. We've spent a lot with them. The woman owner came out and she did an assessment. Our house is very large and she said to us that they do bigger homes than this. So she came up with a fee for us to pay and we agreed to it. They did a fairly good job the first time. After the third trip however, the manager called to change the amount of money and I thought that we settled on a fee that she agreed. We were committing ourselves with them for a year of cleaning and I thought that this was kind of unfair and unprofessional. We called one of the regional offices. She had maybe underestimated the job, so we ended up having them not clean two of the rooms upstairs. We still wanted their service and then they continued their service, and after a while they were not satisfied with that. Then they wanted to change the fee to an hourly rate instead of a flat rate. For us it wasn't a financial thing as much as it was just an integrity kind of thing. It seemed like they don't want the business. I guess she was trying to get out of cleaning the home, but then I kept pleasing her by cutting back a number of rooms. So we cut our ties with them.

The first cleaning was wonderful they did everything they said they would after that there were times when things weren't cleaned at all, tables were left dusty, floors were mopped without being vacuumed. I complained twice but all they did was switch the girl who was cleaning my house and one was worst than the other. Beware they talk a good talk but when it comes down to it I had to clean after they left.

They were terrible. They didn't do what they said they were going to do. I would never get them again, ever. I would certainly never recommend them to anybody else.

From begining to end it was a great experience. They were professional and did a great job.

Overall very nice people who spent approximately 4-5 hours.  The price was just too high....

I have 11 rooms and they only stayed 3 hours. They basically did just the front of things and nothing else. I was very dissatisfied with their service.
