I'm outside their service area. The girl I talked to was very professional and she gave me good contact info for Angie's List.

The technician arrived well on time and he called me before coming in. I expected him to be professionally dressed up but was not. He came in inspected all the vents, furnace and dryer. Attached his suction unit to one of the vents in kitchen and then with an extended high pressure air tube dislodged all the dirt from individual vents. While one of the technicians was cleaning the vents the other went on to clean the dryer vent. He didn't showed me the condition of my dryer vent and finished the job in less than 10 minutes, which includes removing the dryer exhaust pipe and putting it back. I am not sure if he did the job of cleaning the dryer vent effectively as it one of the freebies that came with the package. I would atleast expect the technician to show me the condition of the vents before starting and finishing the job. With the amount of work they did, I feel that the whole job was overly priced.
Although I said that I will be using the provider in future because there is no option which says " Not sure".

Gentleman came earlier then scheduled, rare for workers. Did the work on a Saturday
He was polite, effieicnt and neat. Could have sweep up some of the dust from the vents he removed but not a big deal
Eqipment was good and he used the garage to bring everything through. He was honest and told us we did not have a big problem and that they were pretty clean. He was done in 90 minutes and alll and all it was a good experience. I would recommend to friends.

The guy who came to our house was very nice. He took off his shoes before entering into our home. He started working immediately. He cleaned all the vents from top to bottom. After he was done he even cleaned the dusty floor with the vacuum cleaner.

They attached a vacuuming hose down to where the furnace is, and they didn’t have a hose that would reach far enough for mine. They wound up attaching to vents that were closer.

There were a lot of dirty stuff cleaned out of the vent. The dryer definetely got better. I only need half of time to dry the clothes.
The air duct looks better, too. We will see in the summer when starting to use the air conditioner.
Furnace I didn't get a chance to check it.

I don't know if it actually made any difference. What they were offering wasn't really what certified companies were offering. Basically what they were doing was just blowing compressed air through the vents. They should have been putting something through the vents to actually clean the build up of the interior of the duct work.

I don't know if you are familiar with the type of work the company does when you publish the Big Deal offers, but I expected that you would because you are Angie's List and so, this is how it went. Made appointment for 2 days after I made the call. Time estimate for 4-6 pm. Originally bought 1 offer. When I told her this is big house so can they do the work that late in day, she said yes. I said you mean they take off all the vents, blow them out, the furnace parts, et al, in a short time. She said they had a very clever way to do the vent cleaning. Described as not having to take off all the vents because they just get the dust to a central place with their big machine and then it's done. Sounded a little sketchy but we have never had a duct cleaning before as we had steam heat until 3 yrs. ago. When I questioned again about the number of vents in so short a time, she said they had a machine that blows out the vents without taking the covers off, I had read that sometimes companies cover all the vents to suck it out that way. Told her I had 2 furnaces. Said they could do both the same day. S0 I said do both. Turns out he had some air hose that he drags through the house to squirt what he says is powerful air psi through the vents to be collected with the very large hose he has in the furnace.
It somehow did not seem like a legitimate way to do the job. He was alone. When I looked back to see the company's credentials according to Angie's list, I was surprised that the list would use this company as a Big Deal due to all the remarks about the procedure they used and the other remarks about the company showing up places unprepared to do the job when they got there. Better to admit you can't do the job then to do a bad job, But, don't think this is a legitimate way to clean ducts. Would like you to reassure me that it is a proper way to do this procedure. Just have to pray that they did not damage our 2 furnaces. Really Angie, is this not the type of job that you warn against having done. Man was very nice and worked hard but don't know if the system used is the correct way to do this job.
I quit my membership a year or so ago because I have a summer cabin in the 18431 area in PA. When you started up there and I was a member, you offered free access to the listings there while you built your client base. BUT, whenever I tried to access the area, I was denied access. If any area needs Angie's List it is this area as there are a wide variety of curmudgeons there that do as they please, when they please. They do good work but they are unreliable and are multi-taskers. Roofer by summer and snow plower for winter. If you express some problem about the snow plowing, they will never come to your community again to do a roof. They will not return your calls over a slight and they punish the entire community for one person's criticism. They can and are the best roofers in the area but do not take criticism with a grain of salt.

The technician removed each accessible vent and, in turn, blew pressurized air into each duct through a small hose like that used to pressurize a car tire. He did not have a suction hose attached in the main trunk duct to draw out the disturbed dust & dirt. Consequently, I'm sure this process only locally disturbed the dust and dirt in each vent's duct. This is especially true for 2nd floor vents. He finally went to the basement and attached a large suction hose to the main plenum, and applied pressurized air at a few spots along the main trunk line. This should have done a fair job of cleaning the main trunk line, but did nothing to assist capturing dust and dirt left in any of the individual ducts, whether on the 1st floor or the 2nd floor.

We made two separate appointments with 2 hour time frames for them to show up. Both times they were outside of the time frame and we had to call them for the reasons. After the second no show, we decided to go a different direction.

They responded promptly to my call to notify them of my Big Deal purchase and set the date for the service. They called 2 days before to confirm the call and also offer another deal for the dryer vent and furnace blower cleaning. The deal was good and i ordered that also. They showed up ontime on the agreed date and the technician performed the services promised. He also explained exactly what he found and what he did. He advised what to expect after he left.
