+ -1 moreThe service rep determined that an ignitor was needed. $200. After that didn't solve the problem, he returned a few days later with moisture sensors. $75. That repair also did not work. I decided to call my local plumbing and heating repair company, and they determined there was a bird's nest blocking my drier vent near the exterior of my home. That service person removed the vent and cleared the blockage $165 (!) and my drier works fine again. If the first service person had checked the vent, I would have been able to avoid the charges for parts and service that wasn't necessary. :(
