Global Kia

After a check engine light came on in my car, I set up an appointment with Global Hyundai service department to have it checked. The car was still under warranty, and setting up the appointment was done quickly and professionally. However, I have gone three times to their service center before I finally gave up. Two times they checked the on-board computer and replaced a part (exhaust sensor) that turned out to be the wrong part as check engine light kept coming on a few days later in each case. Third time I had no work done since I had to leave the service center after waiting there for almost two hours for them to read the on-board computer. I finally took the car to another Hyundai service center where they established the right part that needed to be changed and finally fixed the car. Another issue that I have with this service center is that as part of their service they performed a 50-point check that rated my car in stellar condition. But, when I went to the other service center I was informed that I am risking of severely damaging my engine because a number of fluids were dirty and needed to be replaced (and showed me proof!). Hyundai employees get scored on their service level, and they all have 10-point minimum requirement (on a 10 point scale, meaning that 9 is not acceptable). These guys are not even close to half than number. My suggestion would be to try to stay away from this service center and look for alternatives.
