Description of Work: So far, we have just gotten the quote from Philip Rochelle Building for putting on a whole new bathroom as an addition to the home.

Description of Work: Good fortune was leaning my way when we crossed paths with Phil Rochelle. He is a very accomplished tradesman, a straight shooter and fun to be with. Fine carpentry is in his family genes and we’ve been the beneficiaries of that a few times. Most recently, I was looking to alter a layout oddity in our house that rendered a bit of a danger. Two steps led down into a sunken great room if you veered to the right. Straight ahead down those same steps led to an open stairwell descending to a finished basement. Any sort of stumble or trip on the first two steps had the potential to land you all the way to the basement. Not likely, but “menacing” as Phil described it! Having some serious balance issues my self, it was time for a change. But how was this ever going to be altered and not look ‘oddball’? Amazingly, Phil not only came up with the solution but when he finished building it, it looked like part of the original house. One now needs to open a classic-looking gate that is tied into the railing around the stairwell . It is cornered by a finished post that is hugely functional for me every day as well as a convenient wall-mounted balustrade. Danger eliminated! This wasn’t any big job, but it needed to be done right and look good. Phil Rochelle was the man!

Description of Work: No Services performed...

Description of Work: Phil Rochelle Building was hired to complete a renovation in my parent's home to make it handicap accessible after my father had a stroke. The work included renovating the master bedroom, creating a handicap accessible bathroom, adding a ramp and widening doorways.

Description of Work: Phil Rochelle Building completed a custom trim work project in our dining room that included a coffered ceiling and paneled opening around a set of windows that was bumped out from the room.

Description of Work: Phil Rochelle Building completed a custom home for us in 2004 based on a professional architect's plan and spec. The land parcel was vacant/undeveloped and the home needed to be built to handle well water, a septic system and oil heat. From deciding where the house went on the lot to doing all of the mechanical work to adding a lot of custom trim work to make our house a home, their team did it all.

Description of Work: Had certain exterior house trim replaced with plastic wood material. Exisitng wood trim was rotted and bug eaten and original to the house. Also replaced louvered air vents. A relatively small job.
