Double D Construction

Just a few years ago, we hired Double D to remove all of the old bright yellow siding (40 years old) and remove both layers of old roofing. The goal was to replace the roof and figure out the best options for us regarding the siding. The owner came out, met with us, presented options and associated costs quite clearly. Ultimately, we choose a lovely shade of sage green siding and a gray roof. We could not be happier. The employees were polite and efficient. The work was done in a timely manner (less than two weeks) and still looks great. We had zero problems with Double D. I plan on using them again to update a section of the siding that had previously been covered by a back deck. IMPORTANT NOTE: My neighbors replaced their siding with another company even though we advised them that Double D’s pricing was spot on and extremely professional, with attention to detail. Five months after their siding was installed, huge swaths of siding fell off! And their contractor was no where to be found. That’s when they asked for Double D! You will not regret utilizing Double D and will appreciate the variety of services available.

I contracted with Double D on these projects because of my satisfaction with their prior work for me installing new roof and porch steps railing. I called on a Friday and had representative there on Monday to go over needs for proposal and said he would send to me via email. I received the proposals 9 business days later and accepted them. They came out with two different crews 7 business days later and completed all work within the day. They were professional and friendly and they cleaned up well after themselves.

It went very well and they were finished in half a day. The two-person crew matched up the roof shingles first so they could purchase the right color, and installed the skylights. Their work was only to be done outside, and we had to complete any work inside, such as repairing the drywall and painting. Their guy contacted my other contractor to let her know what needed to be done and how to do it so none of the flashing would be affected.

They were very professional, punctual and responsive. Price was considerably higher than others for the same work.

Although Double D may be more expensive than others, the quality of their work and the professionalism of their employees make it worthwhile.

Double D Construction was a top notch company. Work was completed ahead of schedule & it looks amazing. No extra cost and they did a great job.

We very recently purchased a townhome in an area of the country where sump pumps for basements are a necessity. Unknown to us the gutters were failing bigtime. The moister against the foundation and the basement walls had already created a mold situation. We had to get the water away from the foundation ASAP. As soon as I got the approval from the HOA. Double D was on it. The crew was effective and efficient. After the first real rainstorm I had a concern and called them. It did five me pause when they didn’t call me back… That pause was alleviated when a crew, to my surprised was at my door ready to go. My concern was addressed immediately putting me at ease. I will be calling them again for other things I need done.

Very well. It took two (2) months to complete the project due to the rainy April and May we had, but they were nice enough to put on a temporary fix for the flange to prevent any rain form entering the home for that time. My only comment would be regarding the lack of clarity on their proposal/agreement. It doesn't breakdown the costs involved with the individual projects, and the less involved flange portion of the project (which had a price noted next to it) was not included in the overall price noted at the bottom which referenced the "above specifications." Just could have been a lot clearer.

They were overpriced and I didn't get back to them. They wanted to charge us triple the price. They were quick to respond. This is the second time I have called them and both times the price was very high.

I was very impressed with the responsiveness, professionalism and quality of workmanship. The appointment for the estimate was exactly when I was told it would be. Dan Alte promptly returned phone calls to answer my questions.The job started and finished on time and the total roof replacement took a little over one day. If something unexpected was found that needed to be replaced I was sent a photo of the issue and a quote to repair. I really appreciated the photo rather than someone telling me something was rotted in a place I would never be able to get to and verify. Our house/windows were protected during the construction and after the work was completed the men cleaned up every trace of roofing material and the dumpster was immediately removed. Everyone I interacted with was professional and courteous. Highly recommend Double D for roofing.

Very professional I'm beyond pleased with the work. This is the first time in my life I wasn't able to find any mistake in my life. Excellent excellent job!

I had no complaints with the quality. It took about a week to get a price quote. They came right when they said they were going to come. They knew their business. I needed a specific roof because it was a townhouse and they knew the requirements.

Called office and they had estimator call me the following day. Dan came out and explained what they would do relative to the new roof. He said he would need to have a different person come our regarding the railing. I received my estimate by email as promised. Additionally Chuck contacted me about the railing and came out and provided an estimate via email the following day. In all my interactions with Dan, Chuck and the project scheduler, Rob I was always respond to quickly and professionally. The roofing crew showed up as scheduled and finished the job on the same day. They did a great job cleaning up after themselves. Chuck came about a week later to install the new railing system and did a great job. The railings matched the rest of the porch and are much sturdier than the original on the old steps. I have a few other projects inside my home I plan on having done in the next year. I plan on contacting Double D for their thoughts and estimates. They will have a distinct advantage based on my confidence in their quality of work and communication professionalism from start to finish.

They did all the work outlined efficiently, professionally and left my property spotless.

They are very professional and even though i cannot tell how effective the work was, i believe they know what they are doing. The price was fair as long as the repair holds. My only complaint is that it took a week to get someone out to the house and another two weeks to get the work done. They're busy. I would use them again for critical work.

It went extremely well. They were very communicative, very easy to work with. They were in and out and did a wonderful job. I'm extremely pleased with the process and the results.

Double D provided a prompt, competitive estimate. Work was completed within weeks of accepting the estimate. Only took 2 days to complete both flat roof & shingle roof. Dan was in contact with us to let us know the progress & when the work was completed. Our property was also clean after the roofing was done. It was an overall positive experience. The roof looks great & we are looking forward to a protected home from the rain, snow, wind, & storms.

Arrived on time, worked efficiently, cleaned up yard after, covered Plants, protected found a lot of rotted wood – replaced provided gutter contractor.

Double “D” arrived with an 8 man crew. They worker hand all day with excellent results – roof was replaced in 1 day including clean up. Very pleased.

I was very impressed. From the moment of my fist phone call to them I noticed their professionalism. They were on time, provided detailed estimates, explained everything, made adjustments and kept in touch when the jobs had to be canceled due to bad weather. The crew that worked on the house also showed they were pros, not only in the quality of work but the pleasantness, speed and willingness to make changes during the procedure. My wife was home during the time and the treated with the utmost respect and non-judging given the stress she was under having a work crew at the house. I have to give a special thank you to Roberto who was one of the roofers who my wife said was one of the sweetest and hard-working people she had ever met. All the guys in the office were also very accommodating and made sure we were happy. From beginning to end it was a great experience and I would recommend them to anyone. As a matter of fact I just received proposals for additional work that I will have done in the near future.
