We have not had a good experience working with Nick. We contacted him about getting new logs for our gas fireplace. He gave us a quote and we agreed. Once the logs came in, he told us that the quote the vender gave him for the logs was wrong and that we needed to pay more money. We asked him to go back to the vender to work it out with them because we are a single income family and had not budgeted for an extra $375 on top of installation costs. He did not want to go back to the vender and offered to install them for free to help make up some of the price difference. He did not want to get stuck with the logs, since they had already come in. We agreed, moved some money around, and paid the extra. He has been saying he will come by "next week" to install them, and then next week comes and goes and we don't hear anything from him. Now he has completely stopped responding to messages and emails. He finally came by and dropped the logs off in our driveway and drove off without messaging us to tell us he was doing so. We have been trying to no avail to contact him to set up a time for him to come install. We could have refused to pay the difference in the first place, told him we didn't want the logs, and left him on the hook for them, but we didn't. Now we are out the extra money and still do not have new logs in our fireplace. To stop talking to us altogether is completely unprofessional, and not a good way to conduct business. He is ignoring us and hoping we will go away. We had planned to give him our business in the future, but I will never work with him again.
