James-Michael Fay Corporation was recommended to us, by our "regular" plumber, Thomas Sullivan. Our tenants had a blocked drain on Saturday, with sewer water flowing into the basement. It was an emergency. Sullivan could not do the work, but he recommended JMF. I called JMF and they returned our call within an hour. They were able to do the job. They showed up on time and cleared the drain. The cost was ~$240.
I have no complaints about the service, although I do have one recommendation for JMF. They only accept cash or checks on weekends. This can be problematic, especially if someone else is paying for the job. In my case, I was in Washington, DC and could not meet them at the door with cash or check. I needed to pay by credit card. It all worked out fine in the end (our tenants paid for the job), but under other circumstances, I might have had to go with another company -- one that would accept a credit card on a weekend.
