THE MOWER SHOP AT ROSEDALE MILLS

This was not a good experience.  It took them a long time to get round to looking at the mower.  The first time they looked at it the manager said that I needed a new battery for the electric starter.  I hadn't been using the electric starter much anyway so I asked them just to fix the starting problem so that I could use the pull-start, which usually works very well.  I picked the mower up a few days later, without checking it before I left the shop, and found it still would not start once I got it home (five minutes away).  However, I charged up the battery and found that it turned the engine over just fine (even though the engine still  wouldn't start).  I took the mower back and told the manager that the electric starter was fine and asked why they had told me it wasn't (no satisfactory reply on that one).  I then left it with them again for a few days.  When I picked it up it still didn't start, but another mechanic worked out there was a crack in the carburettor.  They fixed that and it seemed OK, but again when I got it home it still would not start.
I feel I was very patient with them (mostly because I had a back-up mower), but I was not pleased with the attitude of the manager
or with the length of time it took them to look at the mower and not fix it.  If I was feeling cynical I might think they didn't look at it much at all.  These guys are supposed to be experts on this make of mower, but I will not go back to them again.
