I sent in the envelope with a sample of my home's water. I received a call from a lady who said she was calling on behalf of Home Depot, they had received my water sample, ad it tested "high". I asked what it tested "high" for and she stated that a rep would have to come to my home to explain the "results" to me. The rep, Joe Reynolds, showed up at my home and took out a "water testing kit". He put some of my home's water in a glass, some bottled water from my fridge in a glass, his own bottled water in two glasses. He swabbed the bottom of his shoe with a cotton swab and placed it in one of the glasses of his water. He then tested each glass with a device that beeped and displayed a number on the screen. I asked what that number meant, and he talked in circles and I didn't get a clear understanding of what it signified. So he stated that the water from my home was worse than the water with his shoe germs in it!! He was using scare tactics to sell an expensive water system. My home already has a water softener system, and when I told him that he stated that just because the system I have takes out the hardness of the water, it does not clean the water and that I need a reverse osmosis system. The website on the business card he gave me, it doesn't even exist. I thought Home Depot was a reputable company, but this company who does their "water testing" for them is definitely not reputable. The rep couldn't even tell me what was in the water that made the number "register so high". I do not recommend this shady company and their shameless scare tactics!
