If you see 5 star reviews from this company posted anywhere, take a closer look and you'll find that they're all fake. Working with A&A was the worst, most stressful moving experience I've ever had. We were quoted $10,000 for our move, but we paid over $18,000. Our belongings were treated like trash. The boxes coming off the truck were crushed or ripped open. Several boxes were missing and A&A didn't do a thing about it--told us we'd have to go to arbitration. We were told in writing and verbally that we could pay the remaining balance by credit card, because $18,000 was way above our original budget--but at the last minute were forced to pay in cash. We jumped through every hoop A&A threw at us to try and rectify this awful situation. I submitted all the claim information and a third party company awarded us a measly $170 for all our missing and broken items, but A&A never paid it and won't return my calls. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!

The Moving Men know what they are doing as far as wrapping up your precious belongings. I did almost all the packing before they came. But first let me tell you that they did come right out to pick up my belongings the following day when I realized that Route66 Company Truck was never gonna show up. I lost My $$with the down payment on the dates they were to come. I’m still fighting it because they broke the contract. Now let’s get back to Affordable &Assertive. The pictures below are showing you the truck that finally came a month to date after I got to my new home, 8/5–9/5!! I received a broken Mop which was firmly twisted apart and it didn’t come apart. I received my lamp shade which was packed in a separate box!! Well it came back to me in a wardrobe box with the solid steel antique lamp stand going up the middle of it/ Damaged. Better yet I have and it’s MISSING a Cherry Wood Buffet Table that has a drawer/ SOLID Cherry Wood $1800/MISSING. I also can see and took pictures of a box where someone has tried to see what was in a box! How you Ask?? On the bottom of a box ? there is a pushed in with the little flap flipped down. I found this when I took my things out of it. Now Dispatch has Blocked my calls. He just gave me a run around. Customer Service,I get their answering machine and no return calls. Vanlines, that’s another entirely the same thing. No one will own up to anything! Where is this Heavy Solid Cherry Wood Buffet Table? Charges are being....., Good Luck. Cause It’s going Public

Perry, moving specialist, estimated move a $2116 to $4371. Over $2000! Movers lost or left several items from NJ. I had to travel to NJ to retrieve items. Very annoying! I will never use or recommend this company again.

1. We contracted for a certain amount of boxes to be moved. The loading supervisor said we were over the amount contracted by 10 AFTER everything was loaded, increased the price, and said he would unload the entire load and charge an unloading fee if we did not accept the price increase. 2. Furniture was damaged in shipment. Part of the foot of an armoire is missing. 3. The load was split into two shipments with different arrival dates without telling us. 4. Boxes of books were saturated with ants on arrival. On the positive side, the unloading crew, who do not work for the company, were excellent.

Went very well. Crew and truck arrived on time an finished project quickly and professionally. Did not go over estimate.

Perfect! An amazing crew

Initially, the move from the starting point went well. The packers ensured that items were protected so as not to break during transport. When we arrived to the new location, the movers began to bring the large items in and then the boxes. Many of the boxes were placed in the wrong rooms and after I told on of the movers, Julio several times he ignored me. One plastic bin was dropped and it cracked but the supervisor told me about and no big deal. After they left, I discovered that the leather headboard to my bed had been punctured and some articles that were in plastic bags were placed on my bed in an obvious attempt to hide the damage to the headboard. The document that I was supposed to sign confirming that everything was received in satisfactory condition after a walk-through was not presented to me. The best is I tipped them for breaking my property.

The move went well. I had a next day delivery Oct 21-22, 2020 with the same team loading/unloading. I requested next day delivery since I knew 2 items were extremely heavy and didn't want them unloaded from the rental truck. They arrived promptly for pickup and delivery and they called me an hour before their anticipated arrival. The team included Lawrence (foreman) with Robert and Yasim. They wore company-branded shirts/jackets and introduced themselves. All were courteous and respectful, particularly in wearing masks especially since I had a high-risk senior in the home. They made sure that my items were packed well for the ride, and there was no damage to my home and furniture that included a glass tabletop and a marble countertop. My desk, credenza, coffee table, sewing table, glass, and marble were wrapped in moving blankets. My estimate was for 320 cu ft. Sandy was helpful in scheduling the move and changing the date. Then she helped update my inventory since I was locked out of updating it about a week before the move. While the inventory was updated online in my account, the moving crew didn't have the updated list so I had to show it to them or else I would have had to pay additional charges.

The service they provided was excellent, they were prompt, professional and courteous. I had them move a piano and extremely heavy granite furniture. The move went very well. I highly recommend using affordable movers.I will definitely use them again. Thank you Perry for your great customers service you provided me!

Well except for a delay to prove the company had an insurance certificate for my building.

It was excellent. They were very responsive. They were very professional. They were very careful with the belongings. I did the packaging because my friend has antiques. They came in to compete the packaging. They did an excellent job. I recommended them to some friends.

It was excellent. Fal was great to work with and the quoted price was the actual price of the move. The communication with him was very easy and always got back to me. If there's any issues, he would solve them. There's a little confusion from the movers, but, it was followed by Fal.
