Ever get the feeling that all a contractor wants you to do is sign the contract and hand over the deposit? Then the guys actually doing the work don't really inspire confidence? That's this crew. They did an adequate job but in hindsight, we really should have shopped around for a more experienced team. Lots of fast talking and rushing to get the job, but the work is not the best.

They arrived 2 hours late, and gave us an estimate of $7,000.00. They promised to be back the next day to do the work. They came 2 days later and told us the job would be $17,000.00 to make the repairs. When we told them we could not pay that much, they went back to their original estimate of $7,000. They asked for $3,500. to start the job. They came 2 days later. after promising co come out the next day. They did the work, and after 2 days completed it. They asked for the balance of $3,500. We gave them the payment. The next day, all all the cement they had applied was cracking and falling off! I called them to come back and that I wanted them to return the check to us until they resolved the problem. They promised to come back that day. they did not. I called and left voicemails and they did not return my calls. I stopped payment on the check and then they called us threatening to sue and put a lean on our property. I invited them to do so as I have photos of the mess they had made. the rep, John, was belligerent, and disrespectful. the owner called and said they would come out and fix it but wanted the $3,500. I said once it is fixed I will give them a check. they came 3 days later to reapply cement. We gave them $2,500. and held the balance until after inspection. It is 3 days later and it is cracking and falling off again. They said they would be out to repair it, but they have not been back, not do they return our calls. Do not work with this company. I also learned that although they had applied for a permit, they had not yet been granted one from our town. We are out $5,500.00 and till have a chimney that is falling apart!

They are very professional and did an excellent job! We have used them more than once and we have been very impressed every time. Our friends have commented on how awesome the renovations look. They are punctual and courteous. They went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied with every detail. We have an old house, and they matched up the new baseboards with the old baseboards perfectly! You can imagine the amount of dust created by all this work, however, everyday they cleaned up their work space before leaving.  We will continue to use them, and plan to do so this fall.

We bought our house in July 2011.  On 9/23/11, we hired Dream Team to replace the damper that was rusted shut, inspect the chimney, and get the fireplace in usable shape.  Upon inspection, they determined that a liner needed to be installed and a cap would also need to be put on the chimney.  They also said they needed to lay down fire brick in the fireplace area to support burning wood for fires.  They performed most of the work on 9/23/11 and 9/24/11 and we paid the full $4950 then.  They agreed to try and make time to return the following day (9/25/11) to cut and lay the fire brick to complete the job.  They were not able to make it on 9/25, so we called the office to schedule an appointment on 10/15/11.  On 10/14, I called to confirm the appointment, but the office had no record of it.  I then rescheduled for 10/21/11.  Our contractor from Dream Team called the morning of 10/21 to confirm the appointment for the afternoon.  However, no one showed up and no one called to let us know they weren't going to make it.  We called the office on 10/22, and they told us they would have our specific contractor call us to reschedule.  We never received this phone call.  On 10/24/11, we requested a refund for the portion of the work that was not completed for $1,100.  We were able to go through our credit card company to get the refund for the work that was not performed.
On 10/8/2012, we contacted a new company to finish the job Dream Team never completed and inspect the chimney.  They informed us that the liner that was installed by Dream Team was not the correct size and was not installed very well and that the fire brick was unnecessary for our fireplace area.  They also informed us of additional issues of cracks in the chimney and incorrect chimney height, and while these issues were not the fault of Dream Team, they are issues that Dream Team should have noticed in their inspection.  If we had been informed of those problems in the chimney, we never would have had the original work done.

*UPDATE (5/17/13)*- We are in the process if trying to resolve some of the problems.  We have been informed that the contractor who preformed our work is no longer with the company and Dream Team has arranged to have someone else come out next week to look at the chimney.  I will update this review further based on how that visit goes.

I found the Dream Team through a coupon in my Value Pack.  With much trepidation, I called regarding some serious damage to my siding.  Charles arrived as scheduled, did a thorough examination, and gave me a quote of $1500, which, considering the repairs to be labor intensive, I thought was a great price.  The workers arrived exactly on time, and worked ceaselessly at a job that became much bigger than originally thought (the squirrel nest was more than 20 feet long, requiring removal of my entire back soffett).  It was a disgusting dirty job, but they cleaned up every stick and twig.  I incurred no additional charges.  Then, I asked one of the workers to take a look at my chimney.  With one look, he was able to diagnose a problem that I have had two different contractors try to diagnose with no success - I have a cracked chimney liner.  Without ever going into my house, "June" was able to tell me that I had a wall leaking water, and was getting the exhaust from my furnace leaking into my bedroom.  They gave me an extremely reasonable price - $2300.  I am thrilled that my husband and I took a chance and called the Dream Team

It was a terrible experience. There was a poor quality of work and nothing was done professionally. The doors and walls are crooked. It was just sloppy and shaddy work, including the electric.

They were on time.  Being a novice I did not know how correct they were.  I have called many times for help.  They said they were behind in their work.  The date is now 11/12/2011, not completed and will not answer calls.  Money paid on 10/26/11.  Calling division of Consumer Affairs & Better Business.  Problem still exists to date.

Overall I was happy with the service. They came when they said they would and performed the service for the price quoted. They clearly did both the gutter cleaning and the tuneup, since I clearly saw the nails were hammered in and some disconnected portions had been fixed. Would hire again.

Workers were professional and friendly.  Their work performed was acceptable.

Back office billing and receptionist are completely unprofessional.  Receptionist explained to me her problems with their insurance agent getting a certificate of insurance (not my problem, get a new agent).  After she couldn't figure out anything, another gentleman gets on the phone with an attitude and would try to talk over their client. 

How a company like this stays in business makes me scratch my head.

A Dream Team representative kept his appointment and discussed the condition of our chimney and gutters. He offered several solutions explaining the benefits and down sides of each. Unfortunately the representative gave us some inaccurate information about warranties and costs. When I met with the office manager he wrote into the contract the conditions which had been misrepresented and didn't increase the agreed upon price. I had been assured many times there would be no charge for a special project because the necessary material was available and could easily be installed at no extra cost. Turns out the material wasn't available so I was required to pay extra if I wanted to go ahead with the special project, which I decided to do because I considered the cost to be reasonable. During the recent blizzard the cap blew off the to of the chimney and the company refitted it the same day I called, at no charge.
